My name is Val! I'm a 38 year old math teacher. I am married to a wonderful woman and soon to be a first time mom! Well, almost - we do have a sweet doggo named Maggie.

I love food and wine, but have been trying to avoid overindulgence. I do Weight Watchers about 85% of the time, so I'm constantly fretting about food. And I've been sober for almost 3 months. I'm not sure if it's a forever thing, but it's a right now thing.

I've been teaching for 12 years and love math! I wish I could get everyone else to see it as the beautiful and creative, philosophy based subject that it is.

I love paper crafts! I started with greeting cards, then journaling, and most recently snail mail. I have a little crafting group that gets together once a month to share ideas and socialize.

I tried to get into knitting, but it never stuck. I do sometimes use yarn, twine, or string in my cards and other mail pieces.
