If you are wondering what wahine means: It means woman in Hawaiian. Name is Evelyn Owens. I reside in a rainy state so most of my time is spent indoors crafting. I am a senior citizen with two grown daughters and three grandchildren. Married with children for 27 years to a haole man...very nice guy.
I love to read Christian literature, cookbooks, crafting books, Tea Time magazines, and card making magazines.
I like to watch the Hallmark Channel. Mostly the Prince marries the girl next door are my favorite themes. I also watch TBN, some of the sermons are really great. I love Home DIY shows, I like to see the before and afters...
I mainly stick to card making. Many of my craft supplies are from companies Stampin Up, Lawn Fawn, Sizzix, Hero Arts, and Spellbinders. I started card making about 5 years ago. Still a lot to learn....but it is what I love to do! I have an ample supply but don't want too much as space is limited. I enjoy anything that is related to cardmaking... Paper, diecuts, embossing folders, embossing powders, glue, distress inks, scissors, stickers, washi tape, and stamps. Facebook groups I am in are: Lawn Fawn, Tim Holtz, Craft Warehouse (many techniques and classes for free) and Sonia's Fellow Stampers (a free group that exchanges cards ,if interested search it out on Facebook, it is a fun group, lots of prizes). I like Pinterest to get ideas and inspiration. I used to make ATC cards and swap here, but I moved and had to go back to work. Now I am retired so I have more time to craft.
Styles of cards that I make/enjoy are cutesy (Lawn Fawn) , also mixed media (Tim Holtz) and Stampin Up (mixture).
Other than cards, I like to receive: Scripture cards, Starbucks gift cards with zero balance from coffee shop, handmade or fun soaps, good quality stickers, any kind of postcards, photos of memorable places (ex: Niagra Falls, Mt Rushmore, Big Island Hawaii lava flow), stationary. I enjoy Earl Grey, Oolong, Green and Jasmine Tea (so send teabags if you like...), decoupage napkins.
Things I have plenty of and don't need: Calendars/planners, sewing supplies, paper for crafting, incense/candles, fabric.
I am not that crafty but I love to cut paper and glue it together...so I tend to send mostly cards, and store bought postcards, although I notice there aren't that many anymore in our stores..not sure why.
Likes: All animals, trees, flowers, critters, beaches, mountains, Christian music CDs, Christmas, Easter, Beth Moore studies, adult coloring books, postcards, recipes.
Dislikes: Scary, mystical, magical (ie. Oct 31), fairy, gnome, mermaid...

Thank you soooooo much for the wonderful surprise package you sent to me! I was floored by your sweetness! The calendar was so wonderful that I am going to take the pics and frame them to hang all over my youngest daughters bedroom which we are changing into a Hawaii theme. My teenage daughter wants me to burn the CD for her it is so cool. The scrapbooking and ATC ideas are wonderful and my mother in law wants me to make her a copy of that. AND my oldest daughter tried to talk me into giving her the ATC you made. I threatened to chop[ off her hands! You did the most wonderful job on the ATC! Incredable artistic ability! WOW! We all loved your surprise
