I pledge to rate and I will also contact you before rating a 1. I feel that is only polite, as there may be circumstances that I am unaware of. I will always send. If there comes a time when I have issues, I will pm you and let you know so you won't be left hanging. I really enjoy this site and all the new friends I have made.
I am happily married,a mother of 3 and grandmother of 8, with 2 more due days apart in May! One little girl (no name yet) and Joshua Daniel. I have 3 cats and 1 chihuahua, they are my fur-babies. I dress my dog ;). I love to do all things arts and craft. I sew, quilt, bead, paint miniatures, crochet, paper-craft, make cards, love to bake, stamp, garden, and read a lot of just about any topic and genre. I love to play tabletop games, boardgames, and cards.
I like all types of music, what I want to listen to depends on my mood. Lately I have been into "classic oldies". I had a weird feeling in my stomach when I heard a Metallica song on and it was described as classic rock.... along with Ozzy, David Bowie, Rod Stewart (to be expected~~sigh).
My favorite color is blue (any shade, but mostly turquoise and teal). I have always loved the number 4. I am a Bear Cub Scout leader. These boys are 9 years old and tons of fun. I have an awesome new co-leader who turned me on to this site!! I adore John Wayne, anything cats, hummingbirds, or chihuahuas, my grandchildren and children, my husband, and antiquey (is that a word?) stuff. I collect eggs, love Polish pottery (I got hooked when we lived in Germany and I made 2 trips to Poland for lace and pottery), Matryoshka's, and the Wii!!! I collect fabrics, love to use retro fabrics in small quilts for the wall or my grand-babies.
I just started the Japanese art form Zakka. I am loving the stuff and want to collect the fabrics, notions and other stuff I can use for the bags, stuffies, tea mats, and other things.
I have a serious addiction to Dotees. Every time I go shopping I buy something I can use for my Dotee Dolls! My dear husband is SO patient. I think he might be getting hooked as well because he finds fabrics, notions, and beads for the dolls!! I have discovered matchbox art and am loving making matchboxes. I am also doing quilt squares.
Holidays(pretty much all of them!), the color blue, beads, fat quarters, Dotee dolls, eggs, pottery, blown glass, ribbon, wooden toys, cats, hummingbirds, Chihuahua's, Cocker Spaniels, gardening, yarn, embellishment items for cards and crazy quilts, dressing my dog (an 8 lb chi), candles, candle holders, pictures of my family, cooking, board games, lawn games, tabletop miniature games, making terrain, and much more!

Re: grinding rice. I have a daughter with celiac disease and I've experimented with grinding rice. If you've baked with rice flour before, you know it's very grainy. I found that when I ground it at home, I could never get a good fine grind, so I stuck to buying rice flour. Now that there are so many good flour blends, I rarely buy or bake with rice flour. :)
Happy Birthday a few days late.
