Hello I'm a British crafter and artist living in a small village in Scotland with my fiance and tortoiseshell cat and I'm terrible at these about me things as I never know what to say, but I shall attempt to put something anyway!
I've been creative since as long as I can remember, starting with drawing which I try to do every day, and in the last few years I taught myself crochet and knitting, though I am much faster at crochet and enjoy it more - I especially love making amigurumi
In the last year I got heavily into creative journaling and all sorts of papercraft, which has led to me collecting stamps and postcards (amongst other ephemera, both vintage and modern), and I have been involved in a stamp book round robin and a couple of swaps via Instagram, so I would love to continue to do that via swap-bot!
I am addicted to washi tape & enjoy making art with it
What I enjoy most of all about being creative is gifting what I make to others, though I am eager to receive lovely handmade things through the post ^_^
My all time favourite book is Memories of a Geisha, it actually got me interested in the Geisha culture and history & I now own many more factual & photo books on the subject
I very much enjoy historical fiction, mostly those based around the Tudors (Phillipa Gregory & Alison Weir are my favourite authors of that kind of literature)
I've been a long time fan of the Discworld series (by the late, great Terry Pratchett) & enjoy re-reading those often
It's hard to pin down a single favourite movie, I enjoy a great many from things like Pixar & Disney films like Finding Nemo and Tangled, to 80s greats like Ghostbusters and Heathers to sci fi (The Fifth Element, Star Wars, Star Trek) and many more. I enjoy horror movies, though I'm more inclined to watch those of a paranormal vein rather than overly gory, my favourite is The Conjuring I very much enjoy japanese animation films as well, mostly along the Studio Ghibli lines
Sadly a lot of the television I consider a favourite are no longer on air (Castle, Bones, Stargate, House) but there are some that are and I very much enjoy.
I am a huge fan of Red Dwarf and have all the series on DVD which I rewatch quite often. I enjoy a few other series, including Elementary, Gotham and recently a show called Instinct started which I have been watching and has currently caught my interest
I watch the occasional bit of reality tv and am a big fan of The Great British Bake Off (despite being a terrible baker myself! )
