I'm an art student living on campus at UCLA, and am eager to break away from a life of only college-related things and start swapping.
I enjoy almost anything handmade, sweets, hot chocolates, teas, coffees, books, condiments, music, and old odds and ends. My favorite colors are blue and brown, but I just love bright and vibrant colors in general. My favorite authors are Hesse, Dostoevsky, Hemingway, Salinger, Vonnegut, etc., and my favorite artists are Egon Schiele and Balthus.
I love nature (particularly vibrant or intricate things), texture (almost all kinds, smooth ceramics and soft surfaces being my current favorites), papercrafts, needlecrafts, found items, old photographs, things I can make things with, and things I have never seen before. I love almost any kind of music and am always eager to learn about new artists/genres. I am particularly into twee, medicine era jazz, beach boys-esque pop, and 60's folk rock.
I am allergic to aluminum, so most metal jewelry is no good. I can handle a little bit, but a full-on aluminum necklace is probably a bad idea.
Godard, Truffaut, Fellini, The Graduate, Goodfellas, Grapes of Wrath, The Seventh Seal, Chinatown, Rosemary's Baby, Blow Up, Black Narcissus, Mean Streets, Man on the Moon.
Pushing Daisies, Stargate: SG1, Dead Like Me, Good Eats, Law and Order, House.
Knitting, embroidering, sewing, drawing, painting, refinishing furniture, hot gluing EVERYTHING, wire sculptures, welding.
