I have so much to say, where do I begin? I found this site through a request I made on a Livejournal community. I had decided I wanted to start a journal and mail it back and forth between myself and someone else. I'm not the only one, apparently! I joined this site to start taking part in journal swaps.
I live in Minneapolis with my boyfriend, our dog, and our cats. We have a house in NorthEast, one of the cooler neighborhoods in the City. I live near a really cute block that has an independent coffee shop, pizzeria, vintage clothing store, and more.
I have two jobs at the moment: I'm a supervisor working the midnight shift in the male-dominated UPS, which is interesting all in itself. I also do SEO writing on a freelance/contract basis.
I have also considered myself a writer though I indulge in the craft very erratically. I have lots of ideas and I am in the middle of a novel but need to finish it. I'm kind of sick of it right now.
I am very interested in all aspects of American history (well, at least interested in the American Revolution and beyond) and John Adams is my personal hero. I am also very interested in the history of New York City, where I visit regularly. I'm currently reading many books about the City.
I get very into all forms of literature, including books and television shows. I was super into Harry Potter while that was being released. My favorite TV shows include Six Feet Under, Mad Men, Lost, 30 Rock, Sex adn the City, Newsradio, the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Dawson's Creek, Arrested Development, and the Gilmore Girls.
I'm also super into music. My most recent discovery is the Making Mirrors album by Gotye, which is beautiful. Other favorite bands include the Arcade Fire, Dave Matthews Band, Snow Patrol, Death Cab for Cutie, Alexi Murdoch, the BoDeans, Stars, the New Pornographers, Pearl Jam, Decemberists, Stereophonics, Radiohead, and more. I enjoy 80s New Wave, 90s alternative, 2000s indie music, and rock from the 60s and 70s.
That's enough for now. Hope to swap with you soon!
