I'm 39, married and a mother of 3 boys: 10, 8.5 and a new baby, half years old. I was born in Russia but we immigrated to Israel 30 years ago. My grandmother was a seamstres and my mother is a great clothes sewer. I myself know how to sew simple clothing but didn't like it too much. I fell in love with quilting when I saw a quilt on the net, it was in 2005. Till then I never see quilts and knew little about it. This area is not developed in Israel and I get most of my stuff from online US shops. It takes time and not always I buy what I really need cause of the color distortion. But still I have quit stash now and my dram is to g to USA to real quilt shops. I am a self taught from books and the net and I just love it, I have like 5 tops pieced and I'm still practicing machine quilting, hoping I'll start finishing those tops and have myself some quilts.

Quilting is my favorite. Sometimes I do bags, toys, scrapbook a little, paint old furniture, make little decorations and hoping I'll have time one day to do more craffts and quilts.

Like very much: 30's & older reproductions, small scale floral, faded colors, shabby chic, combinations of peach & plum, brown & pink, pink & green, etc. Everything with dots, stripes & plaids.

Don't like: batiks, solids, novelty prints, big scale prints, animal prints.
