I am married stay at home mom with 2 little boys. My husband is a paintball freak, he just loves it, and it's great because he gets excercise. My older boy is 4 years old and loves Bob the Builder and Thomas the Train (he collects the wooden ones.) He is just the sweetest kid. He will just randomally walk up to me, his daddy, or his brother and say "I love you." He also has some unusual favorites. He loves broccoli and some funny tv shows, Dirty Jobs, MythBusters, and How It's Made.
My little boy is just 18 months old. He is a cutie pie and loves to get into anything that he isn't supposed to. His favorite spot is the fridge, if he is close to the kitchen and he hears the fridge open, he runs super fast to get there just to stare in to it.
I love to play on the computer, read and crochet. I also love movies. Some of my random collections include dice, moose, and Monopoly games.
BTW, I don't have pets nor do I smoke.
I usually read romances and mysteries. Jude Deveraux is my favorite romance writer and Rita Mae Brown and Sneaky Pie Brown are my favorite mystery writing team. I am currently working on making up a spreadsheet with all my books. That will be taking a long time. (I have a 6 foot bookcase, 3- 4 foot bookcases, 2 under the bed boxes and I don't even want to know how many misc. boxes in the spare room all of books. Oh did I forget to mention the 7 foot bookcase that was a birthday gift for the hubby? My boys and I like to go to the library, the older one gets stacks of books everytime then ends up taking most of them to bed with him to read them there.
I love action movies. Star Wars, Indy Jones, and Lord of the Rings are some of my favs.
Regarding TV, I love Heroes, ER, and NCIS. I used to watch JAG, Crossing Jordan and my hubby and my favorite was Farscape. I like to watch TV shows on DVD but I do have one problem with it. When I watch that show on TV, the commercials really surprise and annoy me.
Oh and I hate spoilers. If it isn't on the preview or the 'next week on the show' then I don't want to know about it. Please if you see a movie, show, or read a book, please don't tell me anything specific about it. (saying that you liked it, fine, saying that you can't believe so-and-so was killed, not fine.)
I am finding myself becoming addicted to buying the Indiana Jones Movie trading cards. I remember collecting cards from the original Star Wars movies when I was a kid. So much fun!
I crochet and try to do a little knitting. I used to do a lot of cross stitch but the crochet has won me over. I have a rather large selection of yarns. Well I think its a lot but I've heard how much other people have and I have very little in comparison. My current favorite is Caron Simply Soft. I like blues and greens usually and keep away from red, orange and yellow for the most part. I just finished my very first knitted sweater and a pair of socks for my youngest. Now I need to make socks for the older son, the hubby, my mom in law, and myself.
While we don't have pets, I love dogs (especially Springer Spaniels and Irish Setters) and cats (hubby loves the orange tabby kind.) We recently moved across country from Virginia to Washington and my car really doesn't like it here, it keeps having 'issues'. Just recently found out that the 'issue' is a bad head gasket. Joy. I have an addiction to Bath and Body Works. I keep buying body wash, it's not my fault. They keep having sales and comping out with yummy new scents. I love citrus scents (except the grapefriut one) and clean scents such as clean cotton. Wait that might be a Yankee Candle scent. I am crazy over them too. I love dark chocolate but I have enough of a stash right now and I really don't need that either.
I realized that I didn't have anything about food or drink preferances. I can't stand coffee. I rarely drink tea but the citrus kinds are popular in our house. I believe that bananas are one of the most icky of things. I have never liked them for some reason, the smell, taste or the feel of them. I do like those little drink things that you put in water, if the tots stop swiping my water bottle. I like citrus flavor almost anything. I also enjoy mint flavors.
I think that I was going to say something else but I can't remember what it was now! LOL!
I am not a religious person so I would prefer nothing of that sort.
I don't really like 70's music or clothes or much of anything. I lived in the 70's once, I see no reason to do it again.
I don't really like ATC's. I'm not really into the whole scrapbook kind of thing. I am trying to cut down on the clutter around my apartment so I am not looking for little things that I need to keep track of. Kawaii things are cute but they just really aren't my thing. I don't particularily care for Winnie the Pooh.
