I'm a twenty-something Asian American and I teach dance for a living, I have my dream job. :) I'm happily married and love learning new things about my stunner of a husband.
I may also be an anomaly, I'm completely in love with my in-laws.
Lost, The Office, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, SYTYCD, American Idol, Flight of the Conchords, Iron Chef, Good Eats, Unwrapped, AFV, and I'm recently loving I Survived a Japanese Game Show!!
Oh and I have a strange fixation with The Weather Channel.
I love just about every kind of music and I have lots of favorites so these are only a few. Occasionally I get on these kicks where I listen to a certain type of music for a few days. I have about five essential playlists on my iPod, without them, I would be sad.
I love getting mixed cd's or music from artists I've never listened to before.
Here are the lucky few who I simply adore: Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Josh Groban, Keane, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Benton Paul, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, Travis, Bach, Mozart, Debussy, Vivaldi, Yo-Yo Ma, Jenny Oaks Baker, Josh Groban, Billy Joel, James Taylor, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, The Beegees
Oh yeah, and I may be one of those people you hate, Christmas music is just about the only thing I listen to after Thanksgiving until January 1st. Not the popular stuff, the good stuff; meaning everything before the Carpenter's. With a little Josh Groban peppered in.
It changes frequently, here's where I keep it up to date:

Simply put, I love good books.
A few of my favorites/hobbies are: cooking, baking, reading, dancing, antique shopping, listening to music, watching movies and t.v., anything shopping, traveling, teaching, blogging, and swapping. I'm trying to teach myself digital scrap booking, and I love making cards and sewing things, especially since I just inherited my mother's Bernina, it's practically an antique and works like a charm. There's something about texture that I'm obsessed with; I have to touch everything!
I love the color green, it's symbolism of life and growth/progress; as well as the colors white and black for their simplicity and form. They're just classy. Honestly, I love all colors but the softer versions of them, or the natural versions. I love natural color and light.
I adore old stuff. Or I guess the fancy word for it is vintage. I could (and do) spend hours in antique shops and second hand book shops looking at everything imagining the history behind it. Things I'm continually drawn to are old records, textiles/fabrics, books, postcards, accessories and tableware. I love old cigar boxes, or just about any wooden container. One of my hoped is to have a bookshelf made entirely of old wooden fruit crates. Inspiration came from my Ma-in-law. I love classy, elegant, and natural things. I'm not into anything gaudy, overly-ostentatious or "tastelessly showy", I love clean lines and simplicity.
My favorite season is Autumn, I love the layers, the change in temperature and colors, and the fact that so many fun holidays are on their way. You can smell the change and it's so crisp and clean, I love it. Plus it's when I turn the oven on again.
My favorite holiday is whichever one is being celebrated although I think Christmas is a year round holiday.
I collect children's books, especially old ones. And if it's a Christmas book... omg. I want to find original versions of my favorites from when I was a kid, my list is on goodreads. I adore just about any old golden book, ooh, and old cookbooks. I love the pictures.
I also love the typical girly stuff, makeup (the nice stuff), pretty things that go in my long hair, jewelry (especially earrings that are unusual but classy/elegant) and toilet water that smells divine. I don't like knick-knacks but love anything that is functional.
My favorite item of clothing is the sweater. I'm a sucker for a gorgeous cardigan with textiles that make me melt. I also love scarves, I have tons.
My favorite outfit would have to be a long cardigan over a frilly and soft camisole with a skirt that is lighter than air and the perfect ballet flats. I'm a dancer, I like feeling elegant like one and comfortable. Of course when I get home it's off with the shoes and skirt and on with the sweat pants!

I thought "America" made the right choice! Joshua is an incredible natural talent and so charismatic onstage. But I also thought they were all really talented. Tried to get tix for the live show but the good seats are going for $300 on stubhub.com! Too much for me.
