Hello! Thanks for coming to check me out. I've been making stuff for as long as I can remember and I have found that I especially enjoy Mail Love. Like little messages in bottles to other people like me that just love to make stuff--you just can't put a price on it! How cool is that?
I work in an office by day and a hardware store by night and in my free (!) time I enjoy stitching and gluing and decorating my house. I have three teen-ish kids, a falling down house and too many cats plus one wonderful old hound doggie.
I aspire to do as this old Swedish Proverb says: "Fear less, hope more; whine less, say more; hate less, love more; and all good things are yours."
Hugs to all!
While dollmaking is what I have been pursuing the most over the last six years, I do love getting glue on my fingers! I am just beginning to explore the altered arts and I am finding it so exciting! I knew there was a reason I've held on to all these old postcards and photographs!
Vintage anything-especially the 20's through the 50's; cottage charm; yellow & blue; mermaids; white on white; ticking stripes; wales; scrap quilts; mothers & babies or mothers & children; cats; chocolate; 1940's pinups; hens and roosters; gingham; yo-yos. Looking at my blog is a great way to see what I am into.
Hmmm, there are themes that I am not drawn to myself, but I like to be open to other artists' work. I don't want to put limits on my partners. Make something that YOU enjoy and that will translate to the object and I will enjoy it too!
About the only thing that would bother me would be the smell of cigarette or cigar smoke.
