I do tend to quite like odd and esoteric movies; particularly ones that make you think. So far some of my favourites are:

The Fall, The Fountain, Voices of a Distant Star, Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel (hey, sometimes we are need a good comedy!).

Sadly I would not be a fan of the Chick Flick, other than that I will often give anything a chance.

I'll listen to most types of music except rap. R'n'B doesn't really do it for me either. My favourite styles of music would be singer/song writer or accoustic. I also love instrumental/orchestral covers of songs. Consequently some of my favourite artists are:

I love books and reading. I recently had to go to IKEA to get a new bookshelf! Sadly I can't buy as many books as I would wish; they're quite dear and I read them so fast it's hard to justify. Consequently you will frequently find me in libraries; I'll even travel to surrounding villages to read their stock. Currently I'm reading a lot of C.S. Lewis.
