**** I'm attempting a Swap-Bot comeback after having been away for a pretty good while due to lots of health and family issues. I'd really like to get back into it, and I'm going to work on resolving my one low rating. If anyone has any concerns please feel free to send me a message! ****
I am a 37-year-old female living in the southern United States. I'm single with pets.
I am a huge horror fan. My goal in life is to start my own business specializing in dark art and design. I'm also a big computer nerd, and I like learning programming languages.
I suffer from major depression and social anxiety. I was first diagnosed at age 13, and I have experienced numerous periods where I've been rendered completely disabled by it. I like to do artsy things and crafts as a form of therapy. It helps to keep my mind occupied and relaxes me.
I hope joining this site and participating in swaps will help me stay motivated to keep doing the things I like and to try new things as well.
I like anything horror! Movies, television, literature, art, comics, etc. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I celebrate it year-round. I like things that are considered gothic, weird, morbid, creepy, or just generally strange.
I have a really dark sense of humor. Sometimes it's the only thing that keeps me going.
I love sports. Baseball and football are my top two, but I also like basketball and occasionally soccer. I've been collecting sports cards since I was about 10. My favorite teams are the Atlanta Braves and New Orleans Saints. I'm also a Crimson Tide fan because it's required if you live in my state.
I collect comic books. Mostly horror and sci-fi. Favorites are Preacher, Ghost, DC Vertigo titles, oddball independent stuff.
I live near the Gulf Coast, so I like the beach and fishy/boaty/water stuff. I also like margaritas. I'm like a goth Jimmy Buffett.
I love New Orleans and Mardi Gras stuff. Voodoo dolls are awesome. Fleur de lis is my favorite decorative element.
There's not a lot of stuff I don't like. I'm fairly laid back and easy to please. The only things I can definitively say I'm not interested in are overtly religious things (except Voodoo dolls) or anime/manga stuff.
Will add more stuff as I think of it.
I am a computer person (aspiring graphic designer) so I really like to do stuff in Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Sometimes I try to incorporate this stuff into "real life" crafts. Sometimes it succeeds....
I like to try drawing and painting by hand, but it never seems to turn out as well as my digital stuff. I will keep practicing.
Art trading cards are something I'm interested in since I already collect other types of trading cards.
I have given wood-burning a shot, and I'm interested in trying other wood crafts like chip carving.
I like to make things out of foamboard and cardboard. I will continue trying this until my untimely demise from paper cuts and X-acto knife injuries.
I'm usually good at writing letters. I have had several pen pals over the years.
More to come as I try things out...

Hi Jennifer Have a great birthday!
Pat
From reading your profile, I'm pretty sure you're my long lost twin!
And I'm one of those people who's never heard of that case... Cindy James. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the tip! I'd love it if you responded to my letter - penpals are awesome. In my reply to your reply I'll send over some of my fav unsolved/weird cases :)
So, when it comes to True Crime do you like documentaries along those lines? And do you prefer solved? or unsolved?
