I'm almost 40 (how did that happen??) and live in Glasgow in Scotland. I have three children aged 9, 6 and 3 so they keep me pretty busy. I work part time as freelance writer and also do a bit of mystery shopping which is great fun.
I've done crafts forever - I come from a long line of knitters, needlewomen and crocheters so it's probably in the genes!! In the past I have done cross stitch and needlepoint but now I mainly knit and do patchwork - using the paper piecing method as I don't like sitting in front of a sewing machine all day.
I have also just started doing crafts one day a week at preschool, so far we've made papier mache masks and they were a huge success. Am on the look out for lots and lots of ideas.
I love all sorts of fabric and knitting yarn. Retro type or vintage fabric is a particular treat, I like florals and pretty things like broderie anglaise, lace or embroidery. Not frills though.
Seascapes, seaside themed items and seaside colour schemes of aqua, blue and green.
The British designer Cath Kidston who does fantastic retro prints with strawberries, roses and polka dots.
Anything to do with cooking or baking!
Scented candles.
I have three kids so love child-related items. I have a 7 year old boy, 4 year old girl and an almost 2 year old boy.
I volunteer as a breastfeeding counsellor to help out mothers who are having difficulties feeding their babies. Would be delighted with anything on this topic but please no baby bottle images.
If we're talking postcards, I like scenery and views. I like something that tells me a bit about your part of the world, whether that be a scenic view, food, traditional dress or something else.
I'm not an animal person at all and am violently allergic to cats, so don't like anything really with an animal theme.
Hate over-fussiness and frills.
Not religious so please no religious cards or items.
Not into sports or cars.
Not into fantasy, witches, orcs, wizards, fairies etc.
Not into anything too cutesy.
Patchwork and quilting although I like to be contrary and use the paper method rather than having to be accurate cutting and sewing seams!
Knitting. Still learning the different stitches but I find it very relaxing.
