I AM SORRY TO INFORM YOU THAT CANDY PASSED AWAY FRIDAY OCTOBER 25, 2019

We adopted a standard poodle pup in the last few months. Magic is shiny black, gorgeous, spirited, extremely smart and very trainable. He is great fun, has made us sooo happy and put a lot of pep into our 11 year old poodle, Misty. I just had major surgery and am headed for extended treatment. Puppies are much better than pills. Magic has taken the sting out and brings us such joy.

I have never had difficulty with giving ratings, but having been flooded recently, it caused problems with mail, computers, etc. Pleeeease let me know if you have not been rated and I will take care of you immediately.

I have traveled to 15 countries and thoroughly enjoyed my journeys. The art, architecture, gardens and fountains, bridges and waterfalls were stunning. My memories of experiencing the cultures, people and foods will always be cherished.

My favorite MUSIC is classical (I played piano until I was diagnosed with MS). I also love 50’s & 60’s folk from my guitar days and enjoy ragtime and oldies but goodies (I’m an oldie but goodie as well).

I don’t watch much TV unless it’s ballet, which I did for 20 years. I also enjoy ballroom, gymnastics, surfing, and art all of which I have done at some time in my life. I watch occasional game shows, and since I like to feed my face, I also like some cooking shows.

My favorite BOOKS are art, cooking & history of the USA from WW2 to current. It’s amazing to see changes in our country in that short time. I like to see the growth in new varieties of produce like apples and changes of clothing styles. There has even been a large increase in the kinds of beer. I also like to follow the history of technology and medicine during the same period. My husband has hemophilia. People used to die from it on a regular basis. Since WW2 there have been several generations of treatments and now kids take clotting factors and go out to play football!!! Think of just the new sports added to the Olympics in the last 30 years. Sound old, don’t I?

My favorite COLOR is Periwinkle. It’s purple but more blueish and less pinky. I also like peacock colors, some neon, and prefer cool colors to warm colors.

I began collecting BEADS when I was in college in Berkeley, California. I think it was because of Hippies being attracted to wearing beads. That was when Disneyland didn’t allow Hippies there because they had beards and wore sandals. Hehe. I still do beading today.

I began collecting STICKERS in 1981 when I had to be at bedrest during my pregnancy with my son. I don’t use them in a planner because I use my cell phone. Although I don’t do much crafting because of my manual dexterity, I still collect them and use them for collage, mail and other occasional things.
