I am a kindergarten teacher, wife, and a busy mother of two precious boys (ages 5 and 3).
My favorites are scrapbooking, card making, and pretty much anything to do with paper and felt. I'm always shopping for metal embellishments and interesting items for my paper crafts.
I enjoy sewing and have made a couple of quilts, purses, and other small items. I'm not an advanced seamstress by any means! :)
I used to cross stitch, but haven't had the energy or time in many years. I have bought the supplies to learn punch needle embroidery, however, they are still sitting in the craft closet waiting to be used.
I have always wanted to learn needle felting because I love the projects I have seen using that technique.
Bones and Lost are my two favorite shows currently on the air. Past favorites include: Alias, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Friends, and Angel.
I enjoy reality television far too much. Some of my favorites: Big Brother, Survivor, American Idol, The Bachelor(ette), Dancing with the Stars, and Hell's Kitchen.
Anything by Patricia Cornwell, Earl Emerson, and Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child. I love mystery, horror, and an occasional Chick Lit book.
I'm always on the look-out for craft/scrapbooking magazines and idea books. I currently subscribe to my favorites: Crafts n' Things, Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, Cards, and Simply Handmade.
I'm a fan of all types of music. On my Zune I have everything from Contemporay Christian to Megadeath.
I am always searching for small collage items for paper crafting: watch gears, clock faces, charms, alphabet/number tiles, etc. Pretty much any small "finding" flat enough to fit on a scrapbook page or card.
I love stamping! I collect rubber/clear stamps. My favorites are sentiments, trees, owls, borders, and geometric shapes.
We love to make cupcakes at our house and interesting sprinkles are always welcome! We also like cupcake toppers and picks. Some more favorites: metal cookie cutters and Bento lunch items.
I love hand crafted items. There is just something special about owning an item that you know someone crafted with you in mind. Handcrafted charms for a charm bracelet, embroidered flour sack towels...pretty much if it's made by hand, I like it!
My favorite color combination is aqua and red though you wouldn't know it from the colors in my home.
I love the "Pottery Barn" look for my home decor.
I collect pears and Fiestaware for my kitchen. I love flour sack towels and can never have too many, especially colored ones.
My boys love the Mr. Men/Little Miss books by Roger Hargreaves. We still need: Mr. Tickle, Mr. Nosey, Mr. Messy, Mr. Silly, Mr. Uppity, Mr. Small, Mr. Forgetful, Mr. Nervous, Mr. Stingy, Mr. Chatterbox, Mr. Fussy, Mr. Bounce, and Mr. Muddle. We don't own any of the Little Miss series...yet!
I really like mushrooms (the cute ones) and acorns (wooden, handmade), too!
*My absolute favorite chocolate is the Curly Wurly bar. They are extremely difficult to find in the states. I love them. Seriously.
