My name is Cherany, and I'm 27. If I had to sum myself up in one word, I would choose LOUD. There is no color too bright, no accessory too outlandish! I am the eccentric one in the rainbow tutu and glittery heels, definitely NOT hiding in the corner.
My favorite colors are bright orange, yellow, hot pink, lime green, and purple. Neon things put a smile on my face, and rainbow things trump all!
I love sequins, feather boas, big plastic jewelry, oodles of glitter, fantasy & fairy tale creatures (unicorns, mermaids, dragons, fairies), anything with a kawaii face on it, funky tights and knee socks, bubbles, Japanese cabochons, birds (namely, owls, peacocks, and flamingos), retro prints (think Pucci), brightly colored make-up, tropical scents (lemon, coconut, tangerine, grapefruit), funky artwork, and too many other things to list here.
If's it's colorful & tacky by a sophisticated person's standards, there's a 99% chance I'll love it! ♥
Music is one thing I could never live without! Classical crossover is my genre of choice, and I like a bit of world music, as well.
I love clear, flute-like voices (Hayley Westenra, Camilla Kerslake, Faryl Smith), strong baritones and tenors (Josh Groban, Rhydian, Pavarotti), sweet, folksy sopranos (Lynn Hilary, Cara Dillon), and rock-meets-opera popera singers and musicians (Emma Shapplin, Maksim Mrvica).
I love to laugh, and I love to read, so I combine the two whenever I can. My favorite authors are David Sedaris, Augusten Burroughs, Ellen Degeneres, and Chelsea Handler, all of whom write humorous non-fiction.
I don't read much fiction at all, but if ever I do, I like it to be funny, as well. The one book I recommend to people over and over is Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber. Find me another work of fiction as funny as that, and I just might come around to the side of make-believe.
I love my sitcoms! Favorites include That 70's Show, Friends, Dharma & Greg, Coupling (British), News Radio, Golden Girls, and Are You Being Served?
Dramas I can't get enough of are Sex & the City, The L Word, Criminal Minds, and Weeds.
As you can see, most of what I like is not current, so I don't watch a lot of TV, aside from reruns. When I'm channel flipping, it's often between science channels and PBS.
