i live in pasadena, ca, and i have a hard time imagining being anywhere else. i enjoy road trips and visiting small towns, but i've never gone too far from home.
i work for a billboard company and most days i like what i do. i'm thinking about going back to school for my masters in library science, but i'm a procrastinator.
swap-bot has been a great motivator for my creativity, since there isn't much of it in my job. i spend a lot of my free time surfing the internet looking for inspiration for my next project.
lately i've been into recycling crafts - not so much for the environmental aspect, but because i love finding new uses for old things.
i enjoy listening to most everything from classical to classic rock. my favorite genre is rock and roll - from the 50s to today. there's nothing better than seeing a local band at a small club. some of my favorites include jeff buckley, no doubt, guns n' roses, elvis presley, and jon spencer blues explosion. i'm not into rap, world music, or country. i'm also clueless about new bands, but would love your suggestions on who to check out!
i'm not a huge movie freak. when i go to the theaters, i usually see independent films or the harry potter movies. i really enjoy movies like before sunrise/sunset - i think they're the two most romantic movies i've seen.
i try SO hard not to waste time watching tv, but i can't help tivo'ing lost, anthony bourdain's no reservations and america's funniest home videos. the only reality show i can watch is dancing with the stars. i've never seen grey's anatomy or desperate housewives and i don't watch daytime soap operas.
i love trying all kinds of crafts - if it's something you can make with your hands, i'll try it at least once.
i've been baking and sewing for years and couldn't live without my measuring spoons or my serger.
the new hobbies i've just gotten into are photography, painting, jewelry, crochet, and knitting.
i'm not interested in scrapbooking or dotee dolls right now. maybe in the future?
i like new "retro" art like shag and baseman, all things vintage (from the 20s to the 80s), and muted colors, especially burnt orange, olive green, and brown.
i also like fabrics with asian or retro patterns, and i love love LOVE paisley!
richard scarry is my favorite illustrator.
calvin and hobbes is my favorite comic strip.
i'm not fond of country-style decorations or victorian lace-type stuff. i'm also straying away from filling my space with knick-knacks. i'm trying to find a practical use for all of my crafty projects.

Ok here's my questions for you so far... What's house are you in and is this your favorite house? What type of pen do you prefer to write with(ie gel, felt, ballpoint etc)? What is your favorite color? If you were to conjure a patronus what form would it take? What size clothing do you wear? Do you wear jewelry? are your ears pierced?
I'm glad my Handmade Bookmark came in handy. I hope you enjoy Harry Potter. I went to see The Order of the Phoenix at the cinema today and thoroughly enjoyed it.
