Hi! I'm a 19 year old graphic design major in California. At school, I share an apartment with two other art majors and am also involved with a lot of multicultural groups and events too. Back home in the bay, I live with my mom and brother and spend a lot of time watching tv, reading, baking, eating, and making things for my friends. We live out in the middle of nowhere so we don't get out much (ha!..aw) but on the other hand it's pretty relaxing I guess.
Currently listening to: Beck, Belle and Sebastian, John Legend, Ok Go, Feist, Arcade Fire, Metric, Bloc Party, Peter Bjorn and John.
..And When You Were Young by the Killers on Guitar Hero 3. Yarggh.
I can read and reread:
A Girl Named Zippy (Haven Kimmel) Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (Jonathan Safran Foer) Lamb/You Suck/Dirty Job (Christopher Moore) Anything by Haruki Murakami Tellmewhy (Karlssonwilker)
Big Love, Family Guy, Project Runway, 24, House, How I Met Your Mother, Simpsons, Futurama, That 70s Show...
THE OFFICE!!!1
I enjoy sewing, baking, decorating, paper things, stuffed things, button things, ricrac things.
I especially enjoy the postal service. I love airmail envelopes..and can't wait to get packages in the mail. yayy.
Right now, I'm trying to figure my way around the CS3 suite, design some t-shirts, figure out my new sewing machine (Yes! I'm a noob. I've always handsewn before..), and eat the 2429478 cupcakes my friend and I baked on New Year's eve.
I used to collect tons and tons of postcards - especially vintage ones - although that's slowed down now that my family doesn't travel as much.
I also love: military inspired things (surplus, epaulettes, olive), the color yellow, cool school supplies, tiny things that are big, big things that are tiny, felt, fuzzy stickers (and flocking in general), cmyk, novelty bandaids, unusual pendants, glasses, handlebar mustaches, and smartly dressed boys.
OH AND HAIRCLIPS. I wear one everyday. If I knew how to format this text I would have underlined EVERYDAY. My friends always get me things to match my hairclips, not the other way around.
I also spent a lot of time - pretty much my entire high school career - with the Red Cross, and I still can't get over all my Red Cross memorabilia: pins, shirts, lanyards, jackets, bags.....
One of my friends and I celebrate Valentines year round.
