I graduated from a degree in English Literature in 2011, and love everything book-related. I own more than 450 books and don't really have enough storage for them all...

I am currently working in a law firm as a legal secretary and studying to become a counsellor.

I live with my cats Odin & Freyja.

After all this time on Swap-Bot, I mostly just take part in Reading Log and Pick My Next Book swaps. I used to have a massive profile to cover all eventualities of swapping, but now I just want to do reading-related things. (If anyone knows of any podcast-related swaps, let me know!)

As you may see from my profile, I'm a dedicated, if not very frequent swapper. If I sign up for something I will not flake, and never have.

Comment: I enjoyed reading your list. “A Monster Calls”-Ness is one of my faves as well. “The Thirteenth Tale” sounds good.

Comment: Hi Jemma, you are absolutely spot on with the "analysis". My favourite character is Celaena herself, as she has shown many different sides of herself. I am glad you enjoyed it and will be following the series. yeay! I am currently reading book 6, which is about chaol's journey. But i do recommend reading The Assassins Blade as the characters from that book will be mentioned.

Comment: Thank you so much for your reading log! I've enjoyed a couple Neil Gaiman as well, I just recently read Stardust and I loved The Graveyard Book. I've read a little bit of American Gods as well, about 100 pages or so but I found it wasn't what I wanted to read at the time so I haven't picked it up in a while. I'm also so glad you liked Across the Universe! I read those books years ago but remember them being great! Happy Reading! :)

Comment: Thank you for all of the great book suggestions. I have read a few. The Hobbit and 13 Reasons Why, which I found so upsetting. We have a huge teenage suicide epidemic here in the US and I was worried it glorified suicide too much. I'm looking forward to reading some of your suggestions. Thank you

Comment: Thank you for sharing. I just have to read Temeraire series. they sound so good. I have rad Uprooted and loved it. Actually it remains the best book I read in last 3 years.

Comment: Thank you for your reading log. Of all of your books, the only one I have read is 'The Five People You Meet in Heaven'. I also like that you put pictures of the books. I didn't do that and wish I had!

Comment: Reading your review was very interesting for me, as it sort of feels like we read different books! Cats? I don't remember the cats in The Ocean at the End of the Lane. Or at least, I didn't until I read your review! :-) I gave this book 4.5 stars, but, like you, it's not my favorite Gaiman story (my favorite is Neverwhere!). :-) Thank you for sharing!
