About Me

PLEASE NO PERFUME ON MY SWAPS AS I HAVE ALLERGIES. THEN I HAVE TO AIR THEM OUT FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS BEFORE I CAN ADD THEM TO MY COLLECTION!! THANKS :)

OK with that out of the way, a little about me! My husband Wayne and I celebrating our 57 th wedding anniversary on Nov 1st. We have one single son, a married son ,a lovely daughter-in-law and their daughter , and our lovely daughter and her five beautiful children. We also have a beautiful calico cat named Patches. I was a clown several years ago and my name was cocoa. I thought it made a good swap name. I have been on disability for 20 years. I have cervical disc disease and back problems. I belong to the Paper Doll Red Hats. My husband sings Country & Southern Gospel. He has been singing at the nursing homes and Church.

I am a Christian. So please nothing from the dark side.

Favorite Music

Southern & Country Gospel , Praise music, some country, and oldies from the early 60's.

Favorite Movies

Gone With The Wind, Fried Green Tomatoes, Beaches, Good love stories that make you cry.

Favorite Television

We have not been watching tv since last summer!! We do watch movies and have more time to do other things!

Favorite Crafts

Scrapbooking, altered art, ATCs, Art Dolls, Pocket pages collage, painting,crocheting, stamping , making cards and now involved with art journals.

Likes

The color red is my favorite, lime green is coming in as a favorite. I like all colors , I like the combination of fall colors. Things I like to find on art work; keys, hearts, clowns, cats, flowers, cupids.................. I like pansies, roses, daisies, sunflowers. I love leopard print! Christmas is my favorite holiday. I like Victorian, Vintage, 50's I have a collection of chickens. No real ones! Tim Holtz and Mark Montano are my favorite designers.

Dislikes

Flakers, Halloween, Glitter ( glitter glue and stickles are ok.),I just don't like messy glitter that gets all over. Witches and Harry Potter!! Swaps that smell like perfume! I have allergies.

Hey there!

I wanted to start an art journal but have NO idea where to start or what to do. So, instead of taking the journey alone, I started a group.

The threads are just FILLED with tutorials, videos and illustrations.

I will also be having a WEEKLY challenge. Whereas I will post a picture of a journal page and the members will recreate it in their OWN image.

This is this weeks image;

This isn't a swap group. It's more of a show and tell type group. By the end of the year you will have a nice, thick art journal. With all YOUR own work in it.
