Hello I'm Elizabeth! I am retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Northern California. 34 proud years! I'm still trying to figure out civilian life and am having a great time :)

I love camping, playing on the beach, gardening (I'm obsessed with succulents), anything related to the great outdoors. Reading and listening to music, sometimes at the same time. Cos-playing at Comic-Cons with my daughter and granddaughters.

I have two wonderful grown girls and four beautiful grand daughters, Ava, Ellie Blue, Camille & Elara.

I think Yosemite, Switzerland, Alaska and Hawaii are all heaven on earth.

I lost my Whippets, Qi & Conan a little while ago. They were 14 and 15 years old and had wonderful pampered lives. I still have a hole in my heart :(
8/23 We got a kitten!!! We named her Ripley because she's a little badass. She's living up to her name on a daily basis. I love her so much♥

I love classical turned up really loud on long road trips by myself. Bizet, Liszt, Dvorak

I am listening to Arthur C Clarke's "Venus Prime" series of books on Audible. A new TV series is in the works of these stories. Can't wait!

Don't get to see a lot of movies but favor sci-fi/fantasy and comedies. Most musicals. A good action flick once in the while.

Love watching cycling, Men's tennis, Westminster/Crufts and what little surfing is out there.

I'm not a major crafty type but I'm good on the sewing machine (thanks Mom) and make things I can't always get my hands on. June is the madness of costume making for Comic Con San Diego in our house. My daughter and I keep telling ourselves that we do our best work under pressure:)

I'm an obsessive postcard collector. My kids say I have a problem but I just tell them that it's my job to keep the post office alive so they can keep sending me a retirement check:) I prefer my cards written on and stamped.

For blank postcard swaps I love any California cards, USA cards, native USA animals or flora, cars of any type, anything postal related. I've been Postcrossing for 15+ years and like a large variety for that.

To make things clear I don't like handmade postcards. I do appreciate the time and talent some people put into them but I've been burned bad by what people call art. A cut out newspaper comic or a piece of wallpaper is not a postcard to me. I also don't want third party postcards. Giving my name and address to some random company makes me feel like I have no control over who has my information. I prefer to make my own decision on who has that. I collect store bought postcards and try not to sign up for swaps that allow handmade or third party cards. Please save those cards for people who really want them! Thanks!!
