About Me

UPDATE As of 1-1-11 I am a grandmother again, My daughter gave birth to a healthy beautiful baby boy. On 1-4-11 life took another turn when I had to put to sleep my 9 yr old Great Dane. I am sticking to my resolutions of eating healthier and doing more walking. I may not swap much for a while as I am busy making things for the newest grandbaby.

Favorite Crafts

I love to sew and quilt. I also dabble in almost any craft... scrapbooking, childrens crafts, crochet, painting, sketching, clay modeling. I am also a woodworker and carver. Have made jewelry and still make pieces for special occasions. Some of the projects I have going at the moment... a crazy quilt, My grandsons scrapbook,painted tee shirts, leather hair gloves, and my biggest craft is remodeling my house.

kids,pets & animals

I am a 43 yr old widow, I have 5 grown kids,three grankids, two dogs and a horse. I grew up in Northern Minnesota and now live in Iowa. My almost constant companion is my grandson Caden. He is five going on fifty and will be my partner in most of my postcard swaps.

Favorite Music

I love all music and have been singing country music with bands since I was a very young girl.

Favorite Books

I read alot! almost anything. mystery, sci-fi, fantasy, romance.

I am an avid book swapper and have belonged to a book swap for about a year now, never thought I could swap crafts and other items. I know I am going to love this site.

stuff

My favorite colors are colors from nature, greens, blues browns oranges and reds. My favorite scents are things like pumkin spice, apple, cinnamon, vanilla or coffee I love to travel, in the past 10 months I have been in 16 states. I have spent a weekend in Ny NY and loved it. I love camping, kayaking, riding my motorcycle and spending time outdoors

Comment: Got the box today - fantastic! Love all the fabric and it's nice because it's all stuff that I wouldn't normally buy on my own - they will all make really nice additions to my ever-growing stash of quilt fabric that I just have to have! The quilt top is really nice - I'm going to take a longarm quilting class and I think I'll use it for that. Feathered stars are one of my favorite quilt patterns! I have your knitted and crocheted items just about done - just need to seam up some hats and sew some eyes on some toys! I will get them out to you one day next week - I'll let you know when they are on the way. Thanks again for swapping with me - it's been fun!
