I am an artist and love painting. For many years I have worked as an independent floral stylist. My work has been featured in various catalogs and magazines. American Bride, Brides magazine, M Stewart, Southern Accents, etc. I have worked on parties and weddings for a number of celebrities and politicians over the years. I have retired from that type of life style as I felt my life was per planned for many months / sometimes years ahead. The work was challenging and inspiring as well as exciting. Now I have time to pursue my thirst for making my art and traveling. I love to garden and have created garden art using found objects and mosaic. I have sold a few of these pieces, they are on display in gardens in NY and Maryland I am married. I have 5 children ( two litters, 3 and then twins ) . I have 4 grand sons and long for a grand daughter. My daughter in law just had twin girls. Oh happy day!!! I am an active participant in " journaling through art " with a group of 12 women and 1 brave man. I exchange a journal with one of my daughters. We create a page and send it back and forth, across the country, to each other. I have created altered books and journals, always carry a journal with me on trips. Every year, I create valentines which I mail to g friends and family. It has become a tradition that they all look forward to receiving. I really can't say what my favorite color is...there are so many to choose from. I do gravitate toward blues and greens of nature. I love birds. Have built many different houses for them in my gardens and surrounding woods I admire and respect anything crafted by hand. Many of my friends and I swap pieces amongst our selves. I am looking forward to sharing the creative expressions of our lives with one another. I am very dependable and can keep to a time restraint. I am adventurous and love to try new techniques and meeting new people.
Last year,2015, my husband was operated on for a cancerous brain tumor. He lost the use of his left hand, had very little mobility in his arm, and had difficulty with walking and speaking clearly. He had radiation and then six months of chemo. In late Augustt we sold our house. I was the sifter of all accumulation and possessions. I was also the chief packer and unpacker of possessions we kept. I had to immediately drop out of all of my swaps as this diagnosis came out of the blue. I was unable to complete the swaps I had joined. Most of my partners were very understanding. I had always been rated with 5s and was never late. This year, I have resolutely decided to rejoin Swapbot, to create art and to complete the swaps I have left from 2015. I have contacted all of my partners and am sending out their items as I make them. I hope to have my Dashboard up to date within a few weeks. I would also like to join new swaps. I hope that everyone understands that I am not a flaker and I did not intentionally not keep my commitments to my partners.

Happy Birthday!
Hi Eleanor Have a great birthday!
Pat
thanks for the great illustration from a children's book on my pass and paste :)
Thanks for adding to and sending home my pass and paste! Cute doggy! I love the glass postage stamp, too, is it from you?
Got the lovely Asian-themed deco. Thank you!
Holy moly good golly wow! What a fun collection of bits and pieces you sent me. I love them all and can't wait to use them. The 1909 cancelled stamps are probably my favorites! Thank you so much and take care. Hope to swap again with you soon!
Thinking of you and sending hugs and good thoughts your way.
As I read the comments on your profile, you must be going to a hard time. I do hope that you will find time to send my art journal to the next swapper or return my art journal to me. You can contact me for my address. I really hope that I can get my art journal back.
If you are running a swap Fandanie has signed up for, she has major medical issues with her husband. Please drop her from your swap as an act of kindness. starMouse
