Hi! I am new to making ATCs but not the idea, I have been watching my talented hubby make them for about 3 years now. I love his collection and the joy he gets from making/recieving them. I always end up thinking of my own ideas whenever he shows me what he is working on, so I thought I would like to start making them myself. I am currently a stay at home mom, taking care of a toddler and doing every possible school activity with my elementary school aged child. I am also mom to a big goofy yellow lab and a green eyed blue tabby. Prior to that I was an Enivronmental Biologist, with an emphasis on aqautic botany. I have always lived near and loved the Cheaspeake Bay, hence the degree choice. ;)
I have also always loved doing artsy/crafty projects, some of my earliest memories are of making city blocks out of construction paper for my toy cars and drawing the cartoon characters from my coloring books. I have made many types of crafts, like silk flower arrangements for our home/wedding, handpainted puppy wall art for the boy's nursery and jewelery items. My most recent endeavor was to teach myself to knit this past winter. Before having our 2nd child I taught myself to sew. I have made a few small quilts, love the piecing, but the quilting is a bear. I mostly learned to sew in an effort to save money dressing for Ren Faire, even more important now that there is a whole family to dress. This winter I completed an Italian (Borgias inspired) dress. As you might guess this is timely, large and not always easily done with young children around. ATCs will give me a smaller more managable creative outlet. I just need to be creative and I like to see other's creativity as well. I look forward to swapping cards with you. :D
P.S. I am sure I will get the hang of things quickly so I hope that this won't really be an issue, but just in case, please keep in mind I am new to this whole system, so I if I miss giving a rating, just give me a nudge.
I listen to lots of current stuff; Imagine Dragons, Mackelmore, Mumford and Sons to name a few.
My all time favorite bands would be U2 and the Beatles.

I'm not that easily offended, but I do have children that love to see what cards have come in the mail, so with that in mind.
Nothing too creepy
Nothing too gory
Nothing too vulgar
Now, for me personally I am not a big fan of bible quotes or crucifixes, however things like pretty crosses and angels are fine.
I am not into aliens or zombies either, unless you make cute ones.
