I'm 27 years old as of writing this, I've been married 3 1/2 years, and a choreographer/dance teacher/stage actress/locavore. In my "free" (ha) time I love to knit, sew, glue, create and sometimes I end up with so much extra stuff in my house that I sell it off in my Etsy shop. I teach dance and choreograph for a living and also dabble in musical theatre.
Pretty much anything. My husband is a punk rock musician, and I grew up in a classical ballet school. Anything between hard rock to Tchaikovsky!
When Harry Met Sally, Roman Holiday, Amelie, Pan's Labyrinth, Princess Bride
Law and Order, CSI, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty and So You Think You Can Dance (major nerdy dance teacher confession on that one!), Absolutely Fabulous, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sopranos
I started out with knitting, but I crossed over to the dark side with sewing! I don't think that I could ever have enough fabric and notions - going to a fabric store is a borderline mystical experience sometimes! Hahaha!
I have a Wists account, so if you would like an idea of the types of things that I like, or for inspiration see http://www.wists.com/geekxnerd - also check out my flickr faves, both of those sites give a nice idea about my tastes. A sampler of things that I LOVE would be: big sunglasses, big earrings, kitschy vintage embroidery, new-ish embroidery (like Jenny Hart/Sublime Stitching), decole, tea for one sets - particularly decole ones, good tea and coffee, cram cream tape, anything out of the pages of marie claire idees, French style (I'm 100% French), Spanish style, old movies, japanese fabric, particularly fruit prints, cute animals, fairy tale and the vintage kitchen prints going around (Check out superbuzzy!), anything with hedgehogs, matryoshkas, birds or apples on it, gnomes, Amelie, aprons, vintage ballerinas from the 50's, out of print dance books, anything dance related really, recipes that respect what is in season. I could be described as a bohemian, hippie, punk, rockabilly, pin up or a hipster depending on what I feel like when I roll about of bed in the morning. I've got very eclectic tastes.
Pastel combinations in yarn and fabric - baby colors blue/pink/yellow/light green. I like those colors on their own - but not together - basically if it looks like it could be a stereotypical baby gift, I won't like it. Country crafts, country style embroidery and cross-stitch, charm bracelets, scrap-booking embellishments, traditional/country angels, religious stuff (except Christmas music, that I like), things made with foam cutouts,
