Originally from the east coast, I moved to Wisconsin about ten years ago. I love it. I'm an INFP, the idealist. I laugh a lot. I like to learn about people and their experiences. I ask lots of questions.
Currently learning: how to make shrubs (vinegar drink), beekeeping, fermentation, and belly dancing.
Currently dreaming about: living abroad, traveling in the winter, having a beautiful garden, finding my purpose.
I've spent the last ten or so years trying to figure out "what I wanted to be when I grew up" and landed on graphic designer. So I make my dollars making things pretty for your eyeballs running my own freelance business (which is scary but rewarding). Meanwhile I did all sorts of things... learned how to run sound at a music venue, take food orders, develop photos, become a plastic engineer, but in the end it will always comes back to art and design for me. This summer I have a veggie garden that I'm tending and doing some homestead-y things like canning and pickling.

I really like graphic novels, adventures, fantasy, sci-fi, and non-fiction. Lately I've been obsessed with everything Neil Gaiman. I'm ashamed to admit I've never read anything by him until last year and now I'm making up for it by reading ALL THE THINGS!
Basically anything on K Records and Elephant Six. Cat Stevens, The Beatles, Fleet Foxes, Cloud Cult, Neil Young, The Blow, Apples in Stereo, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Music Tapes, Olivia Tremor Control, Old Time Relijun, Lightning Bolt, Black Moth Super Rainbow, The Magnetic Fields, Kimya Dawson, The Cramps, Poison Control Center, Beyoncé, Nirvana, Tune-Yards, George Harrison.
1960s Bollywood, Clueless, Punch-Drunk Love, The 5th Element, Leon The Professional, Secretary, Seven Psychopaths, Boyhood, In the Mood for Love, Brick, Shortbus, Rushmore, Hudsucker Proxy, Good Dick, A Fish Called Wanda. And really cheesy romantic comedies.
