I have been quilting off and on for 20+ years. Growing up my mother quilted and I wanted nothing to do with learning. When I was in my 20s I decided to learn and thankfully my mother and I made a quilt together just before she died when I was 28. I hve two children and hope to pass on the love of quilts to them. I love modern fabrics. My favorite line is probably moda, and I love how soft bella solids are. I love to shop online at Fat Quarter Shop and love Kimberly's easy to follow instructions and is in accomplishing blocks quickly. I have not made it very far in my Farmer's Wife Sampler blocks, but I would say my favorite is Nancy because that is my mother's name. My favorite colors right now are turqouise and orange, but since I have a daughter I love pink, too. I really don't like purple. I don't have any allergies. I love to take pictures of my family. I play alot of tennis. I love my family and always try to put them first. I work very part time as a nurse and couldn't see myself doing anything else. I have a blog, but it hasn't been updated in years!! I hope this is enough. Look forward to swapping!! I have currently put several projects on the back burner to work on a quilt for a friend's 17 yr old daughter who was diagnosed with cancer. I am excited to be a part of my first swap. Kirstin
