An update - I;ve been away for a while due to international travel and upon our return I ventured into making mini albums and journals/jink journals. Prior to the above, we had a problem with our server/security upgrade and until that's sorted out I'll not be signing up for further swaps.
.
I shall always send whenever I sign up; if for some reason the item sent to you does not arrive, please let me know. ; I'll send again just let me know. I have been flaked on many times and it is just so sad.
I am a retired grandmother of two happily married daughters. The elder of the two girls has 2 kiddies - they live in Cape Town. My younger daughter has one boy. They have a lovely home in the UK where they moved to 2014. My hubby & I live along the beautiful Garden Route of the Southern Cape, walking distance from the sea and Wilderness National Park. I drive to Cape Town often (5 hr trip) to visit my family. I have traveled extensively to many continents and countries; would love to do more but have to save up again for the next trip.
I work as a volunteer at the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the clothing store.
My favourite craft is learning something new; the bigger the challenge, the better......I love trying out new techniques. and also enjoy messing about in the kitchen trying out national and international recipes. I started with scrap booking, became a bit bored with that after I accumulated loads of stuff - now onto unusual cards and paper craft.I really enjoy the smaller ATC's. I've recently completed a course in making hand stitched books, mini albums and making journals with its many background techniques.
We do not have cinema's in our village - nearest is 25 Kilometers away, so we check out the 'new releases' and pick the one's we fancy. We have the odd good movie on telly, that we watch. . We also follow Met Opera's Seasons and simply love the performances even though we watch it in a movie house.
I have traveled the world, would love to do more......my husband does not want to any longer - he's not so well. We live in a stunning, small, village on the sea along the garden route where we cater for tourists from around the world - we have an enormous national park that stretches for about 200 kilometers! In our village we have from a backpackers to 5 star hotels , 12 superb restaurants. But - we don't even have a bank here!, although with ATM's we get by. Our postmaster has won the top award for a couple years running and their services are first class.
I am interested in anything from your culture and where you live. I like warm colours - lemon, yellow, orange, red, brown...and then anything in the 'green' range. I like walking in the forest, and the 3 kilometer stroll to the beach; simply love the outdoors. Fortunately our weather lends itself to the outdoors 365 days!! a year....Loved the snow when we lived in Canada, the heat in Taiwan and Malaysia, the cold of New Zealand South Island and the rain in the UK, and the wonderful folk we met in these countries, to name but a few of where we'd been.
Sewing is a definite no-no for me - hopeless at it. Please do not send stickers - I have more than I could ever use.
Clear - acrylic - stamp Die cuts or embossing folder for use in my cuttlebug A note written by yourself Anything shabby chic Anything vintage Anything about Opera/Jazz Anything I can add to my mini albums or journals/junk journals

First Many thanks for your package! Loved it! When I saw the card with your house marked on it, I was like booking a ticket right now I'm coming over for a cup of tea! ;-) I don't know if you can read dutch but lets try. Sorry dat ik zo laat pas reageer, het was een moeilijke maand. Ik stuur je nog wat terug, gewoon omdat het kan :-) Ik wil graag een rating doen, maar ik snap niet waar en hoe?
