Hi,

My name is Iva and I am an artist from Toronto. I am 26 and work in the corporate world by day and paint by night. Currently exploring new and fun techniques and trying to grow as an artist.

I have a beautiful cat that is in constant need of my attention, but I love him more for it. I run a little Etsy shop (ivaart) and am trying slowly make it as a full time artist.

I love * dark chocolate and coffee * spending time with family and friends * dancing the night away * relaxing by water * shopping * reading * hiking * trees, birds, butterflies *and more

My number one love is acrylic painting. My style is a bit abstract and subject matter ranges from fully abstract to realism.

When I discovered mixed media I fell in love and have been addicted ever since. It all started with ATCs and then moved on to bigger pieces.

I am about to start knitting again, sewing, embroidering and well the list goes on of the things I am about to get started on...

I also make greeting cards, lip balm, accessories and jewelry.

My favorite colours are red, blue, black and purple. I love the combination of red and white, purple and white.

A lot of my work is inspired by nature: birds, bugs, trees, sunsets.

Currently finishing reading both the Harry Potter and Twilight series. Yes reading both for the first time.
