I am an artist, a mom, a graduate student and a high school art teacher. I have 2 dogs that are crazy, insane and wacky, but are loved beyond belief. I am a single mom of a gorgeous 5 year old kindergartner named Fiona. She is spark in my life. My art is the other spark in my life. I do it all really. I consider myself a mixed media artist because I love combining all things together to make a spectacular effect and communicate a message. Sometimes I think I have paint flowing through my veins... haha. I love to host and participate in swaps. I have learned so much about making art from the people I trade with.

Some of my likes....

I love plants, gardens and dirt. I am in my garden when I am not in my art studio. I have a simple style. To me, simple is better than complicated and fancy(I don't like lace or anything with ruffles). I am a nature lover so anything from nature or is from a natural source is fabulous. My favorite colors are neutrals like browns, grays and black paired with jewel tones like red, pink, green and orange.

I am an artist and love anything art related.

For works of art: I am really interested in good design and love abstract and expressionist works of art. I also really love when letters, words and numbers are incorporated too. Texture and pattern is a big plus! I am into a "warm color" phase at this point in my life, but I do like cool colors as well. I especially enjoy these rich colors with a antique/worn out effect. I really am not into "cutesy vintage" items though. I really love a work that has a message as well as a great design ( even if te message is about how colors interact with one another).
