***IMPORTANT: The place where I live do have a postal box where I can send the outgoing mail, but that mail is not picked everyday. Please be comprehensive, I always mail before the mail deadline, but it happens very often that there is a difference of 1, 2 or 3 days between the postmark and what I said on this site. Thanks for your comprehension. ***
Hello! I'm Juliette, a student in journalism, a book lover, a fan of travels, an eternel dreamer... I love cooking, crafting, being in the nature. I speak fluently French and English and I'm currently learning Spanish. I'm really into penpalling and I'm also a postcrossing member. I always send colourful letters, because they bring happiness in the postal boxes! I like everything that is colourful and also everything related to travels, because traveling is my biggest dream! I want to learn more about foreign cultures, traditions and languages.
I love reading all kind of books, except science fiction. I love traveling books, they always make me dream and want to take the first plane, haha! I also enjoy historical novels, because I learn a lot with them. Michel David is one of my favorite author. I recently read The Book of Negroes, by Lawrence Hill, and it was very good! It's a sad story, it's about slavery, but it's very good, I loved it! Finally, I also really like cookbooks.
Crafting is one of my favorite hobby! I love scrapbooking, doodling, zentangle, sewing... My favorite colours are lime green and aqua. Mix together, these two colours are awesome! I always use them, I have to stop myself sometimes, haha! PLEASE DON'T SEND ME SCRAPBOOK STUFF! I already have a lot (maybe too much haha!).
I love cooking, especially recipes from all around the world. Trying new recipes is so exciting! I'm not very picky, but there is a few things I don't like:
Artificial banana flavor
Custard
Peppers
I really like:
Curry
Spices
Fruits
A lot more!
Postcards from your country, written and stamped if possible (if you send a package, please write the postcard with my address and add a low value stamp so it will be like if it was written and stamped!)
Typical sweets and especially spices from where you live, which are not common if possible.
Bus or subway ticket
MAGNETS!!! See below please :)
Handwritten letters
Recipes from all around the world, which you have tried and like!
Stamps showing local people
Metal bookmarks (I love metal bookmarks!)
Traditional art from your country ( jewelry, for example. I love earrings and bracelets!)
Traditional items from where you live, related to your culture (festival masks, for example). It would be awesome if you could add an explanation!
Small boxes decorated with typical art from your country. It's definitely what I would prefer to receive!!!
In brief, anything related to your culture, i'm so curious about foreign languages and cultures!
I love collecting magnets from all over the world, but ONLY TOURIST MAGNETS. Please no handmade or AD magnets. I love them because I can see where you live or the attractions of your country! Please, no flag magnet unless they are shaped with the form of your country. And I'm not a huge fan of royalty families. I prefer the magnets that shows a touristic attraction, architecture, a local population or a traditional art from your country.
