Hello! My name is Lauren. I'm 30 years old. I currently work at a library, and I love it. Being in a building full of books is my dream come true. When I'm not getting distracted and adding way too many books to my to-read list, I'm tutoring kids and going out to a local school to read. It is exciting to share my love of written language and to see kids get excited about it, too.

Other than reading, some of my hobbies include hiking, cooking, and finding new places to explore.

I also like to listen to different things depending on my mood. This includes k-pop, ocean or whale sounds, native american music, and rain sounds

When it is actually raining (or gloomy) it is what I call a "Coldplay day" and I'll listen to Coldplay all day.

I enjoy all types of crafts. Mostly I've done various cross-stitch projects. I was a big coloring book fan way before it was trendy and zen to be a coloring book fan. I've dabbled with polymer clay, felt dolls, crochet, calligraphy and sewing. For a time I was overly obsessed with making origami stars. Most recently I've been trying my hand at painting and watercolors.

I am a compulsive sniffer of colognes and perfumes, body sprays, men's deodorants (think AXE and Old Spice), etc. I love good smelling things. If you have a scent you want to share, I'd be happy to hear what your favorites are. Be sure to jot it down on your swaps! I'm also all for you spritzing it on your correspondence, should you so choose. If you want to send samples, I'm all for that, too.

I once smelled something so amazing that it is still driving me crazy to figure out what the scent was. If you help me find it, I will love you for life! So don't forget to include what the scent is called. hehe ;)

Oh! and it doesn't have to necessarily be perfume/cologne scents. One of my favorite scents is the smell of fresh cilantro!
