My name is Julie and I'm a craftaholic. ; ) I live in Seattle, WA on Lake Union aboard a wonderful houseboat. I make my living with my jewelry mostly, but I'm starting to teach mosaics and jewelry making too!! Friends would describe me a little quirky, and eccentric, perhaps. I like decorating a bit like PeeWee Herman's Playhouse. That's why I named my dog Pee Wee and my houseboat, PeeWee's Playhouse. : ) If you read my profile, you'll see that I do love humor and silly, quirky and unusual.

I LOVE musical theater!! ....everything from Sondheim to Bernstein, Jason Robert Brown to Andrew Lloyd Webber.... LOTS of musicals and also standards....Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme.... and also folkie music - Christine Lavin, 4 Bitchin' Babes, Louden Wainwright. (and love Rufus Wainwright)

My favorite books are crafting books and some humor looks. Love David Sedaris, but often listen to books on CD so I can craft at the same time!!

SEINFELD!! The Office, Graham Norton Show, 30 Rock, and lots of reality show... Project Runway, Top Chef, Real Housewives of Orange County... Also a recent convert to Desperate Housewives

Almost every craft is my favorite.... I'm sometimes known as the Queen of Craft and was referred to that way when I was on HGTV, Crafters Coast to Coast. (I did mosaic on a bowling pin and stamped a sterling bracelet) I'm enjoying needle felting most recently, but love embroidery, jewelry making, knitting (simple knitting only!!), mosaic, japanese crafts....

I love little funny stuff.... I love japanesey things... like little animals smoking, and faces on inanimate objects, and engrish, cute wrappers on fun asian candies, silliness and funny are my middle names. I try to find humor in about everything!! : D I also love lots of color!! I don't think I'd choose beige for anything!! Lots of color, polka dots, geometrics, .... they're all things I love!! Thrifing is about my favorite thing to do..... and best of all are my 3 daughters and 2 adorable grandbabies!!
