19-year-old from Melbourne, Australia with a penchant for jewelry and all things twentieth-century.
I love: runway and street fashion, breakfast in cozy cafes, architecture, tattoos, reading (favourite authors are F. Scott Fitzgerald and Kurt Vonnegut), art, and of course, snail mail.
As a result of my heavy perusal of twentieth-century literature, wartime romances appeal strongly to my more feminine and whimsical side. I also write occasionally, though I never seem to finish my stories. Too many ideas and then nothing.
I have a Dutch rabbit named Sephy (short for Sephiroth) - used to have two, they were brothers, but one passed away recently; God bless his soul.
Autumn really is my favourite season, and Marilyn Monroe is a darling and I love her.
I am almost always wearing lipstick.
Music is something I grew up with, so it's a big (but not overbearing) part of my life. I listen to a little bit of everything, but these days mostly softer, acoustic-type music. Death Cab for Cutie (Ben Gibbard's voice is beautiful) and random old songs that my father introduces me to, like Streets of London.
Moon River is one of my all-time favourites, and there are others, but my mind is a blank right now.
Gattaca, hands down one of the best movies I have ever seen.
Sin City - possibly my first and only film noir movie.
500 Days of Summer, for its lack of a happy ending.
Finding Forrester. Since watching it I have always dreamt of having a famous author as a mentor. It also renewed my interest in reading/writing. That reminds me, I need a new Moleskine.
Others: The Lord of the Rings trilogy, V for Vendetta, Changeling.
Recent additions include The Avengers - so many good actors, and the witty lines simply won me over; and My Week with Marilyn. Eddie Redmayne is gorgeous, and Michelle did a wonderful job as Marilyn.
For the longest time I put off reading the Great Gatsby - I had the biggest trouble starting on it, but once I got into it I fell in love with it, and I have never looked back. I'm really excited about the movie coming out at the end of the year, Leonardo should be amazing as Jay Gatsby!
Slaughterhouse Five was a little different than the type of writing I was used to, but it was the book that made me appreciate Kurt Vonnegut as a writer.
Others: Sherlock Holmes series, Harry Potter series, The Little Prince
Writing in all forms - creative writing, letter writing. I also draw a little so I'm happy to make cards, ATCs and whatnot.
I have just started jewelry-making recently, and am planning to start a jewelry line soon, so stay tuned!
Mustard yellow, nude/beige tones, pale blue, ivory and lilac. I also like reds with a hint of pink to it.
Vintage/handmade clothing, French-inspired things, classic books, vintage playing cards, semi-precious beads, bookmarks, handmade jewelry, rubber stamps, scarves, art, howlite skulls, maps, blank notebooks, disposable cameras, anything designed/made by you :)
