I am of Italian and Irish descent and I enjoy researching my family's genealogy. I have binders full of information I have found and a ton of old black & white family photos. My other passion is running!

Cross stitching, sewing, scrapbooking and paper crafts, and I dabble in crocheting (still have A LOT to learn!). I love to collect old black & white photos of my family too. I also love to cook and collect Bon Appetit magazines. I like most foods/cuisines. The one thing food I don't like is fish, but I do like seafood (shellfish, shrimp, etc.). I really like to try anything new. Anything to keep me busy.

Top Chef, The Office, I Love Lucy, King of Queens, Strangers With Candy, Absolutely Fabulous, Arrested Development, Desperate Housewives, 30 Rock, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Dexter, The Tudors, The Sopranos...and of course my soaps: The Young & The Restless and The Bold & The Beautiful.

I hate to admit it, but I am soooo addicted to VH1 reality shows! It's a sickness, I know, but a guilty pleasure. :)

I pretty much like all types of music except for current, popular Country music. Never been a fan. I don't like hardcore gangsta-type rap music either. I really like music you can dance to and I love Dean Martin and Louis Prima. I have been a life-long Madonna fan. Pop music through the ages I suppose. :)

My absolute favorite color is purple, but I really love all colors. I prefer darker shades to pastels. I love all things retro/vintage. Big fan of 40's/50's memorabilia, especially 40's/50's pin-ups (WWII & Vargas type) and the fashion from those eras. Italian-inspired items are another favorite. Cooking is a passion to me. I love to collect and share recipes. I have a million of them! I use aprons whenever I'm in the kitchen, so I can use as many as I can get. I love jewelry, costume and real (of course), experimenting with different makeup and haircolors, and pretty much all things girly. I really like shabby chic type items as well.

I don't like country and/or southern inspired/themed items. Also not a fan of goth-type items.

I have read a lot of the books from Oprah's Book Club. My favorites were "She's Come Undone" and "I Know This Much Is True" by Wally Lamb. I enjoy biographies/autobiographies too.

I really like going to the movies, but dont get to go as much as I'd like. I have Netflix so that keeps me going. I like dramas, comedies, suspense, horror (as long as they aren't really gory).
