I am a lover of:
fabric; refashioning or upcycling;op shopping (or thrift stores); craft and sewing; retro and vintage fashion, household items, music and trends; colour; and all things hilarious.
I'm a social worker who works at a university and is currently completing a PhD. I have an academic-ly passionate interest in social justice, the developing world, health care provision, and equity.
Books and reading (I particularly love Japanese horror writers, Scandanavian writers, Bret Easton Ellis (the earlier stuff), Chuck Palahniak, and feminist writers.
Films include most horror (particularly Japanese and Korean), zombie movies (I have a particular fascination with blood and gore), musicals and classics.
I also have a strange fascination with death and mourning. I worked as a grief counsellor for a long time and I find death rituals fascinating.
I love drinking tea- especially Chinese white tea (silver needle particularly). I love tea drinking rituals and have alot of tea paraphernalia.
I have a snowglobe collection- it's actually my second one as my first one dehydrated due to poor placement!
I really love snail mail and I have always had a childish excitement when it comes to mailing and receiving packages. This feels to me like a huge game which can be alot of fun.
I don't like religious iconography or references and I really don't like anything to do with coffee. I do however love cafes and my favourite things to do are spend time in cafes, bookshops and creating with fabric- thanks.
I have a three year old daughter who loves stickers, baking, anything with sparkles and of course fairies, princesses and magic.
