I'm starting to put on Flickr pictures of swaps I send and receive.
If you're waiting for a package from me and want to keep the surprise, don't click!
If I uploaded a picture of a swap you sent me and you want it removed, I will comply with your request. Just contact me!
Please contact me before rating a 1. I always send! If the swap gets lost, I'm sure I could arrange something.
I'm a female student, aspiring lawyer, living in the South of France.
My hobbies include fencing, photography, crafts (these days, jewelry-making and knitting), travelling and more.
I would love to do medium-sized private swaps! Please see below for everything I'm interested in.
My favourite fruits are raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, strawberries, peaches and lemon. Basically I enjoy anything fruit-flavoured.
Chocolate is definitely a soft spot of mine, especially milk or white chocolate, and with nuts. Another sweet thing I like: hard toffee candies like Werther's or Walkers' Nonsuch Toffee.
With the exception of coffee (anything coffee-related makes me feel sick), I love hot drinks. I use hot chocolate mixes and tea bags a lot! My favourites are black tea, white tea and fruit-flavoured tea. My only dislike is green tea.
My mother is Indian, and I love the Indian food she makes. I also like other Asian foods (Chinese, Japanese and Thai mainly).
To this day, I'm blessed to have never experienced any allergy, so don't worry about that when swapping with me!
I like classic pop-rock. As cliché as it sounds, I could listen to the Beatles on loop for hours.
Contemporary music I like include Franz Ferdinand, Gossip, MGMT, Arcade Fire, Daft Punk, Muse, Placebo and more.
My favourite classical composers are amongst others Fauré, Debussy and Mozart.
I also love music from the 80s.
I listen to Korean music too (I'm learning the language).
I don't watch TV but I watch TV shows on my computer: Dr Who, Glee, House MD, Misfits, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Queer as Folk, Skins, The L Word, Torchwood & more!
I do love animals, and enjoy anything animal-themed (especially unrealistic).
First and foremost owls (and other woodland animals too like deer and hedgehogs), elephants, octopuses, platypus, sheep, koalas and more. Not stricto sensu animals, but I like teddy bears and kawaii characters too.
I've got a pet cat.
I love to shop! My favourite places are decoration shops like IKEA or Habitat. For cosmetics, I like Body Shop and Lush. For stationery, I like Moleskine, Paperblanks as well as more kawaii stuff.
I buy my clothing at Gap, Uniqlo, Lazy Oaf, Cheap Monday, Urban Outfitters and more. I like the style of designers like Vivienne Westwood or J.-C. de Castelbajac.
Please note that this is a list targeted towards my partners in profile-based swaps. For other swaps or tags, feel absolutely free to surprise me with something that I didn't list. I'm committed to always rate fairly, and never retain from giving a heart just because what you sent me wasn't on my wish list. Don't worry!
Food and drinks (see "Food" section), chewing-gum (I love Marks & Spencer's gum, that my lovely family in England provides me with). Would like to try out Kool-Aid, Pop-Tarts and candy corn. Things I love, but unavailable in France: Hershey's chocolate (especially milk chocolate w/ almond Kisses), Froot Loops cereal (as a child, I used to swear by these!), Rocky Road chocolate bars.
Writing material/starionery (letter sets, notecards, notebooks, notepads, stickers...): I love paper and I'm a huge letter writer, and will always need this. I like different styles, from classic flowery themes to kawaii, modern patterns or art-themed stuff.
Kawaii stuff (all brands and characters): stationery (letter sets, deco tapes, stickers, notebooks), cell phone charms, keychains, accessories, plushies, pencils and pencil cases... Not that much into figurines, though.
Neat keychains and key toppers. Themes I like: animals (see "Animals" section for my favourite ones), nesting dolls (though someone recently gave me a matryoshka keychain so it's not really a priority), sweet food (candy, pastries), miniature Rubik's cube, music (notes, treble/bass clef, piano, violin or other instruments).
I adore museums and museum stores. I would therefore enjoy art-related postcards, bookmarks, magnets, pencils or other goodies: artists I especially like include Alfons Mucha, Bernard Buffet, Romaine Brooks, French academic artists (Cabanel, Bouguereau and Gérôme being the main ones), Renaissance painters (Raffaello, Da Vinci...) and contemporary artists as well. Victorian art/lifestyle or victorian-inspired and steampunk are perfectly cool.
Foreign books, especially English classics, they're harder to find and costly here. I could also understand fairly well Spanish and Italian. Oh, and exotic languages/alphabets/writing systems are more than welcome, I love them even though I could hardly understand anything!
Language learning books/material. I've started Korean (beginner/lower intermediate). Also learned, and would like to practice again, Spanish, Italian (I used to be upper intermediate, but I don't practice anymore) and Latin. I took a few German and Russian classes at school, but forgot everything (that would make me a false beginner).
This is a short list, as I'm always interested in learning new things. I'm just waiting to discover what language I should tackle next, and maybe you could tell me? :P
I cook and bake a lot, so I would enjoy any recipes or cooking-related items such as gloves, aprons, cookie cutters, paper bags... Especially animal-themed (see "Animals" section for my favourite animals).
Craft material: I like to make jewelry. I would enjoy supplies I could use to make some (charms, findings...)! Also I recently got into knitting. Once in a blue moon I sew and scrapbook.
I love graphic design, so fun graphic tee-shirts or accessories will win my heart for sure, as well as typography art (on postcards, clothing, prints or more).
Anything Pantone (in my favourite colours, or not): postcards, notebooks, boxes, cups, mugs... Or the actual colour charts.
Jewelry (especially animal-themed - see "Animals" section, quirky, anatomical, vintage-looking, geeky or kawaii) and make-up. I have my ears pierced multiple times so sending me earrings is just fine (I mostly wear studs or tiny hoops). Maybe don't send me stuff for my hair though, I have mine short.
Perfume samples, I collect them! Especially the ones that come in little bottles. A slight preference towards masculine perfumes.
Shower gel, soap and other bath stuff, especially fruit-scented.
Anything a bit geeky. I might have studied literature but I'm very fascinated with science! I would love stuff with the periodic table of elements, math equations, anatomical hearts/skeletons or geeky humour.
Things for my phone (BlackBerry Curve 8520) or iPod (Nano 5G) : coloured silicone skins, plastic skins, stickers, cases, screen protectors which I always need... Anything really.
Things with the following colours: red, dark blue, black and white, grey, cream, bronze, autumn tones (my favourite season!). I like all the other colours too, with the exception of pink and yellow (for wearables; it's fine for stationery).
Patterns: plaid/tartan, paisleys, polka dots, stripes, gingham, flowers, anchors/sailor-themed, argyle, animal (leopard and zebra mainly), music notes.
Nice handmade items are more than welcome.
Except in profile-based swaps, I will never stop myself from rating you with a 5 because you sent me the following items. They won't rot: at worst I might just pass them on to family or friends! If the items meet the swap requirements, there is no reason for me to be picky.
I might regift or reswap an item I don't like, especially store-bought. If you have a problem with this, make sure to let me know so I won't do it with what you sent me. Also, I'll never claim a handmade item as mine.
Coffee or coffee-flavoured food, peanut butter, earbuds (I love my WeSC headphones too much!), accessories for long hair (barrettes, elastics... I have short hair!), pink or yellow wearables, skirts, fountain pens or cartridges, impressionism art, Diddle, Pokemon, Twilight, puzzles, French classic literature (having studied literature I might very much already have the book).
