I am currently in college studying studio art, and yet teetering between my career paths. My strengths are in art and leadership, which together provide a multitude of career options. Who knows whether I’ll be an artist (hopefully not starving), an art teacher, or an art therapist, perhaps running conventions for cancer patients to have an outlet for art. For now, I am exploring interesting subjects, meeting inspiring people, and counting on God to guide me down the right path when the time comes. That said, I do ‘stop and smell the flowers,’ enjoying the little things in life, the everyday wonders. My new interest is photography, as I try to capture my family history and the seemingly unimportant things in the world that will be gone before we know it. I emphasize ‘new interest’ because it does change a lot. In one month I've worked on a plethora of art forms from recycled art and mixed media to jewelry and kids crafts.
One other thing, if for any reason it is going to be late I will contact you. If you don't get something from me in a timely manner, PLEASE contact me I will resend. I want the swap to be a happy experience for you and I don't want a low rating. Thank you so much!
If you have any suggestions of what I should add to my profile let me know, I'm drawing a blank!
It all started with scrapbooking in girl scouts! My scrapbooking interest expanded into stamping, then I started beading, ceramic work, and paper crafts, all the way to my current interest in mixed media and altered art. That being said, I love random papers, labels, tags, and other antique looking media that I can collage- knick-knack stuff!
Since I don't know what else to say for favorite books, movies, etc, here's another category of information about me! Style- I like things antique, vintage. I tend to gravitate towards colors like green, brown, and vanilla. On the other hand I love color. I want to be Curious George, exploring the giant world, feeling carefree, flying like balloons in the sky. I want to dip my hands in paint and print all over the walls! I try to keep this playful, color explosion contained inside the corners of my desk. When it seeps into the room I am overwhelmed and easily confused. So in a way I prefer simple, natural tones, and yet at the same time I like the varied, rich tones!
If you're creating a swap item for me, do something creative, vibrant, and inspiring! Surprise me!
