I live with the love of my life in Chouteau, OK, a small Amish community in eastern OK. With my youngest daughter off to college, I have found myself with lots of free time and I'm doing my best to fill it up with hobbies!
I love genealogy and family tree research, volunteering to photograph and document local cemeteries in the process. I enjoy reading, camping, traveling and any time I can spend with my three grandchildren.
Although I have dabbled in quilting for several years, I have just recently become addicted to it. If I am not sitting in front of the sewing machine, I am out shopping for fabric, thumbing threw a quilting magazine looking at patterns, or watching youtube videos attempting to learn more, more, more! I love Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Company, she is my hero! :)
I tend to gravitate toward bright, vivid colors. Jewel tones, like purples, greens, yellows, and blues. And have just recently decided that a black and white quilt may look pretty cool.
In a swap, I would love to receive black and whites or something vivid and fun. Not much into earthtones or homespun fabrics. But looking so forward to anything that I happen to get!
If I end up in a swap with you, please let me know if there is something specific you're wanting to receive and I'll do my best to try to do it!
