I'm a mother of a 13 year old daughter. I come from a large family and most of us do some sort of craft project.
I am currently at home looking for a job after being let go from a job in customer service for a transportation company. I now have time to craft pretty much whenever I want. :)
I have done lots of crafts throughout the years including sewing, jewelry making, decoupage buy most of my crafts are with paper.
I love paper crafting and usually make cards, home decor and mini scrapbooks.
I have been paper crafting for over 10 years. My favorite is to make handmade greeting cards, especially Christmas cards. I make Christmas cards year round and usually end up with a couple hundred by the time Christmas comes around. No, I don't send out that many cards, I sell some and give them away as gifts. I also make scrapbooks, usually mini books as I like to finish them quickly. I have enough larger scrapbooks started that I don't consider finished so now my projects are smaller.
My newest craft I have been doing is home decor, I have been revamping lots of frames lately. I started with a set of 3 frames that I revamped. I painted them a glossy cream color and framed a collections of butterfly punches that I mounted on brown card stock. They went from dark and dreary to light and fresh. I was hooked after seeing them and have started looking for lots of other frames to revamp.
I like seeing what I can make with things that are usually thrown away, discarded or recycled. I can't count how many containers or other items I have recovered over the years.
I usually watch the CSI's, Heroes, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives and House.
I read part of a book almost every day. What I read is a bit all over the place. Some mystery, suspense, romance, a little sci-fi and my latest obsession - vampire romance.
Things I would like to receive: vinyl words or phrases for home decor rhinestone eyelets patterned papers eyelets brads Satin ribbon grosgrain ribbon flowers chipboard albums acrylic album trendy acrylic stamps verse acrylic stamps adhesive rhinestones buttons fruity scented tarts butterfly punch outs smooch sprays, or glimmer sprays distress ink pads anything that can be easily altered.
Things I probably have enough of or would not likely use: fibers wood mounted stamps stickers embossing powders metal bookplates chalks
Never fear, I'm happy to try new things, I can usually see the potential in just about anything. I will pass on anything that is not quite my style. The local Boys and Girls club art teacher loves it when I bring in my 'leftovers' for them to play with.
Right now I have been crafting with a lot of neutral shades. Whites, creams, browns, burnt reds, antique shades of just about any color.
I usually don't use a lot of neon colors. Most other colors can be distressed or aged to look neutral.
I'm happy to share coupons, I usually get 1-3 papers weekly so usually have doubles of lots of coupons that I won't use.
I won't use baby or pet coupons so please do not send them to me.
I have a teenager so usually can use snack coupons like chips, crackers, and pretzels.
I can usually use coupons for frozen foods, baking goods and pasta items but feel free to send what you have extras of - I'm reallly not too picky. I can either pass on or recycle what I won't use.
I do shop at Target regularly so will accept Target coupons for food and household products.
