I am a 48 year old wife, mom, and college student.. I have 2 children ...a 22 yr old boy and a 12 yr old girl. I am in my third semester of nursing school. I love to travel, geocache, garden, camp, hike, scrapbook, read, cook, being with my family. I have also become very aware for the importance of good health and fitness. I began running with the C25k program and haven't looked back. I love running and have even completed a couple of 1/2 marathon's. I like meeting new people and learning about their lives.
I really don't listen to much music, but if I do I like contemporary christian, bluegrass gospel, and old time hymns. I love nature sounds...crickets, thunderstorms, wind, rain, bubbling brook, ocean, etc.

Some of my favorite authors are Randy Alcorn, Ted Dekker, Tim LaHaye, Francine Rivers, Jan Karon, & Beth Moore. I also like to read newspapers and magazines. The magazines I like the most are Runner's World, Backpacker,Country Woman, Martha Stewart Living, Keepers at Home, .and most any healthy cooking, home, or gardening magazines. I like "how to"books like How to Make Cheese. I don't read any mystery, horror, or violent stories.
Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne The Continuing Story- these would be the three movies I would want if for some reason I could only have three.

We have just discovered geocaching and are TOTALLY addicted.

Favorite summer meal-fried chicken, creamed corn, garden fresh top pick green peas, homemade biscuits, and fresh strawberries and cream on pound cake
Favorite winter meal-cubed steak, baked sweet potatoes, turnip greens, home made biscuits and cane syrup and made from scratch coconut cream pie.
I am totally southern and love it .

don't really like fruit flavored candy, but will eat a jolly rancher once in a while. Hate raspberry and banana flavors no matter what. I also don't like licorice...ick.

Oh my! I saw how much you love the Anne series and had to suggest you read "Before Green Gables" by Budge Wilson. It is her interpretation of what Anne's life was like before she got to Green Gables. It was so moving and beautiful. You should definitely read it!
