I'm a woman in my 30's who enjoys my job as a librarian, spending time with my husband and daughter (born 4/07) & son (born 12/08), reading, hanging out on the computer, talking on the phone, and making greeting cards.
My favorite souvenier from someplace is a pressed penny or a magnet.
I've been a lifelong Wisconsin-ite and I can't imagine living anywhere else.
NOTE: 11/2009 currently taking a break from Swap-bot due to 2 kids under the age of 3, work responsibilities, and a major kitchen remodel. Will be back when I have time.
And I LOVE getting mail. Even if DH brings in the mail, he waits until I can open it, woo hoo!
I'm a librarian, so other than Dead British Authors, it's hard to find a book I don't like. :-) My absolute favorites, though, are Twilight by Stephanie Meyer (I've met her, what a wonderful woman), and the Harry Potter Series. I love reading YA. And I read just about anything concerning vampires that I can get my hands on.
Cleaner Comedies (think Hook and French Kiss) and Disney Movies. And heartwarming stories like Mr. Holland's Opus.
With babies & work, I don't have much time to watch TV. However, I do enjoy House, NCIS, Wisconsin sporting events, and America's Funniest Home Videos. I miss Angel but I own them all on DVD.
Handmade Greeting Cards, when I get a chance. I used to scrapbook a lot but that takes waaay too long. Now I dabble in scrapbooking, but focus on card making.
I love embellishments, especially brads. Big brads, small brads, letter brads, brads with designs, whatever.
Actually, I like any metal embellishments that do not require a device to attach them. I'm starting to get into eyelets but find them a lot of work.
I do some other limited paper crafting.
I'm just getting into rubber stamping. It's not as much fun as scrapbook card making, though, b/c it seems to require a lot more supplies.
Favorite color: Blue. Or purple. Depends upon the day. I also like pastels or rich vibrant hues of anything.
I love hearts. I can do so many things with hearts. Not just pink & red ones either, all colors of the rainbow. Big ones, little ones, etc.
And speaking of rainbows, I love those too.
Magnets. I love magnets. If it were up to me, most surfaces in my home would be metal so I could have magnets everywhere! Good thing my husband's style prevails. :-)
I collect four-leaf clovers. Real ones, as well as anything with a four-leaf clover on it.
I grew up on a hobby farm so I prefer farm animals, especially geese & cows.
I love M.C. Escher.
I'm terrified of spiders, and not crazy about bugs in general.
I am a librarian, so I love & revere books. I respect that you may use torn out pages from books in crafts, but I do not.
Not crazy about cats or dogs, but frogs and fish are cute. Except for Jaws.
I have no use for beads, and I have a daughter that would LOVE to eat them, so please no beads. Things like buttons, brads, or stickers are fine, but please no "seed beads" or anything small like that.
