About Me I live on a small hobby farm in Northeast Wisconsin. We have a small flock of layer hens, dogs and a cat. We also have several orchards and large farm fields, woods and creeks. It's a joy in the spring time to hear the spring peeper (tree frogs) calling. They just started a week ago.
My favorite color is green. Actually, it's ugly green, like swamp scum, the uglier the better. I also really like other earth tones.
I love Zentangle and drawing. I do ZIA, and have participated in the 100 day projects. I am currently working on a ZenUntangled journal. That's been fun.
I also enjoy knitting a lot. I make socks, sweaters, hats, scarves, you name it, I knit it. I enjoy gardening, we have a nice size garden to go along with the orchards. My husband loves to make homemade wines, so he is always looking for fruit sources to make into wine.
I love music, and recently took up guitar. I'm learning to play to support our small town church. I can play enough chords to help out on Sundays.
I love to read. I've been hooked on mysteries lately. I'd appreciate any good book recommendation you may have.
I'm still fairly new to Zentangle. Recently, my husband has been cleaning out his mom's basement. Buried down there he found just about every birthday, anniversary, christmas, you name it card she - or anyone in her household - had every received! There were boxes and boxes of seriously OLD cards. I went through every single one, and cut out 3.5 inch round and square tiles from the nicest papers I could find in the bunch! It was a super fun labor of love to be able to re-use these old treasures. In the old days there were a lot of cards printed on parchment. It's very fun to draw on.
