Hi all - I am a "50-something" woman living in Northern Maine. I worked for 20 years as a legal secretary/paralegal for legal aid and now work taking fuel assistance applications for part of each year. I am married, have 4 terrific children and 2 super-special grandchildren. As my screen name suggests, I love the ocean and have just recently returned from our annual trip to Camden, my favorite location in Maine. Another love of mine are our 2 dogs - Finnigan is an "oversized" yorkie and Molly is a miniature schnauzer.

I love all types of music but my favorites are country and new-age.

Many types of books and authors interest me. My all time favorite books are the JRR Tolkien books, which I read while still in high school. Current favorite authors are Jodi Picoult, Iris Johansen and being from Maine I follow Stephen King but only like certain types of his books (I stay away from the real scary horror stuff).

I like a movie with a good story to it, mostly dramas. My favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings trilogy - I always thought the books would make a terrific movie!

I don't watch much tv but I would say my favorite tv would be the original CSI series. I REALLY dislike any and all of the "reality" shows that are so popular now.

I love to paint with acrylics and water colors. I also enjoy knitting and crochet. I'm just getting into ATC's and hope to start painting and swapping.

My dear husband, his father, brothers and now our oldest daughter suffer from Polycystic Kidney Disease. PKD is an inherited genetic disease where cysts form on the kidneys and eventually cause kidney failure. More information about this devasting disease that often-times affects whole famlies can be found on the PKD Foundation website.

My favorite color is purple. I collect angels and fairy items or pictures and like fantasy art. Lilac is my favorite flower and favorite scent. The ocean is my favorite place to be and my favorite animals are dogs. I also love palm trees, sailboats, lighthouses or anything to do with coastal areas.
