I am a native Southern California girl who moved to Arizona a few years ago to save money on housing. I would be happier back in So Cal because I LOVE the ocean. I have my advanced SCUBA certification and would love to get back in the water.
I dreamed of being a dolphin trainer at Sea World forever, and still secretly hope it will happen one day. I do love animals of all types but marine mammals are my favorites.
I work at the beautful Phoenix Zoo as the Birthday Party Coordinator, so I'm a smidge closer to my dream of working with large mammals of some type. I spent some time working at the stingray exhibit here, and loved every minute of it.
I have been married to my husband for 3 years and we welcomed our first child, a little girl on August 26th, 2009.
My mom is my best friend and we are always going to craft and quilt shows together. Rummaging through eachothers stashes of fabric and yarn is always a fun thing for us to do.
My husband is not crafty and really doesn't get the lure of the fabric that you buy just for the "stash". He just shakes his head and watches us shop with a bemused smile on his face.
I love reading. My favorite types of books are fantasy and historical fiction during the time of Henry VIII.
I love Anne McCaffrey, Elisabeth Haydon, Steven Brust and Kristin Britain to name a few. My favorite historical authors are Phillia Gregory (The Other Boleyn Girl) and Tracy Chevalier (Girl with a Pearl Earring). I would like it known that I read both of those books before the movies were made, thankyouverymuch.
I love arts and crafts and grew up with a crafty mom. I am a fine artist as well as a quilter, crocheter and amateur scrapbooker
I LOVE batiks of all kinds. I collect mostly blue, purple and green quilting fabrics, but I'm aware that I should have more color variety in my stash.
I'm a big fan of the stack, cut and shuffle form of quilting because it's an easy way to get a lot of blocks done quickly.
I love to crochet, but I'm allergic to wool, so I cannot recieve any yarns with wool content, as beautiful as many of them are.
I am working on my first scrapbook, for my new daughter, so I'm looking for bright and fun girlie print paper and stickers. I"m trying to keep it simple so I don't break the bank.

I will take any kind of batik, but my stash is mostly blue, green and purple
Tone on tone quilting fabric with geometric prints is what I usually gravitate toward. Nothing too flowery. I need to get my stash really going so any color will do.
I love layer cakes (10" squares)
