My real name is Michelle, but I am more known as Misha, and sometimes, especially online, as Misha Mayhem.
I'm really hard to pigeon-hole, because what I like and who I am are constantly evolving. I don't see that as a bad thing, though. If you don't question everything, and you don't strive to change, and be better, you become complacent. You become a sheep. Then you become invisible, as an individual, because you fade in. I tried fading in, but in all of my years on this Earth, I never quite achieved that. I'm glad. I like to stand out. It may not always be in a popular way, but I am who I am.
I am a personality in the Reviewerverse, though I honestly do not care for reviews. I watch a few, here and there... mostly of my loved ones. Otherwise, I don't care. Some of it has to do with the fact that a lot of people who reviews, are horrible at it, and shouldn't be doing reviews. But the majority of it is because of the psychotic fanbase. They're rabid, and I can't even deal with them. If I ever have fans like that, I'm almost certain that I'll quit. I don't need any more stalkers. Been there, done that. At any rate, yes, I am in the Reviewerverse. On Space Monkey Mafia Studios, I co-host two podcasts. SNARCast, with co-hosts, GamerGeeksTodd, MegaDaffy, and Writrzblok, is a geek/entertainment/random free-for-all podcast. SNARCSports, with co-hosts, GamerGeeksTodd and Writrzblok, is its spin-off, and we discuss exactly what the title implies. Also on Space Monkey Mafia Studios, I co-host a bacon-themed recipe & tries web show, called Bacon Strippers. Then, over at RT Gomer Productions, I co-host a podcast called Constructive Deconstruction, with two other co-hosts, Gomer the Ranting Thespian (the founder) and Holly Christine. It's a one-hour focus point podcast, covering hot topics and news stories. Also on the RT Gomer site, I write articles about basically whatever tickles my fancy--religion, politics, gender and sexuality issues, other hot topics, general geeky things, etc.
Right now, my online work is my only work. Due to health issues, I haven't had a paid job, for some time now. I regret letting mathematics trip me up, and deter me from finishing college. I hope to, someday, return to college, to power through it, and at least earn an associate's degree. I would love to have a degree in something linguistics-based, as I am mostly not even remotely interested in things that left-brained people are into. I've loved to write, since as far back as I can remember, and do it often (although it's not as often as I'd like, any more). So maybe I'll get a degree in journalism. Nothing is set in stone, of course. I'm open to seeing what happens, though.
What some would call my "lifestyle," is pretty interesting, and especially because of where I live, it gains me a lot of questions (and plently of dirty looks). I used to be a Christian, but my journey of faith has led me to be an agnostic atheist. I am bisexual and poly-amorous (not to be confused with polygamy). I have been married to a man since 2008. Our relationship is loving and secure, but at the same time, we are free to date other people. I have two boyfriends, as well. People always ask how this works, and the answer is simple: Complete, 100%, clear and total honesty and transparency. It doesn't work for everyone, but it works for us, and we don't force it on anyone else. Moving along, I am also pro-LGBT rights (obviously), pro-choice (but am pretty against late-term abortion), pro-legalization for marijuana, and fairly damn liberal, in general. However, I do take the (sane) conservative stance on Second Amendment rights. I also may seem pretty unpatriotic, at times, but do consider myself to be patriotic. I don't think that being a patriot, means a complete and total acceptance of everything the country does, especially under governmental rulings. I think that you can be critical of your country, but still love it, for what it's worth. I tend to be loudly opinionated about all of the above facets of who I am, as opposed to the people who hate me for it, but I don't shove my beliefs down anyone's throats. That'd make me a hypocrite.
Even though I never considered myself as such, before 2011, I am apparently pretty goddamned nerdy, now. I wear many different fandom hats, including two of the big ones--Whovian and Batfan. One of my boyfriends is a comic book reviewer, and he's gotten me into comic books, more and more. I prefer titles from companies like IDW, over Marvel or DC, but still purchase titles from the Big Two. However, I do think that DC is moronic, despite getting my Batman '66 subscription. As mentioned, I am a big Batman fan. My favorite Batman is Adam West's Batman, hands down. I'm also a big fan of a big Batman fan--Kevin Smith. If I were going to follow a religion, it'd be Smithism, and Kevin Smith would be my golden geek god. I was so close to meeting him in 2013, but didn't get to. Maybe someday. Also, he's favorited like a bajillion of my tweets. So, that's a little squee-worthy to me.
Also related to nerdom, I love the 90s and I love cosplay. I may have been born in 1984, but I did my growing up in the 90s. I still treasure 90s nostalgia, and have 90s reference shirts (like Jesse and the Rippers, as well as Camp Anawanna), pogs, Troll doll, etc. And when I cosplay, I like to kick it 90s style. I've cosplayed as both Quail-Man (from Doug) and Daria. When people see me at conventions (which is one of my favorite things), dressed as these characters, they wig out, because of the nostalgia.
My other HUGE fandom that I am a part of, is WWE. I watched when I was younger, but never really got into it, like I am into it now. I started talking to a bunch of guys on RVT (formerly Reviewtopia) about it, and just kind of got sucked back in. I went to a live event in December 2012, and it kind of took off, from there. On SNARCSports, even, about 70% of what we talk about, is WWE. I also talk about that fandom, a lot, on the Sports Discussions Forums. I will not even begin to list all of my current favorite WWE wrestlers (as they constantly change), but my favorite old school wrestler is Mick Foley. (He's even talked to me on Twitter! SQUEE!!)
I'm also a fan of other sports, such as hockey (Washington Capitals), football (Pittsburgh Steelers), and baseball (Yankees). And those are in order, after WWE. I also talk about these on the podcast, as well as on the Sports Discussion Forums. I'm impressed, because I used to get talked down to about sports, because I'm a woman, but it seems I have found my place, with guys who don't do that. It's good to finally have that respect.
I do have other interests, just not ones that are as huge parts of my life, as the ones above. I love TV, movies, music, reading, shopping (especially online), cooking, and sleeping. Wow, that all sounded really lame, didn't it? Oh well. Like I said, I am constantly evolving, so hell, any of those could change, at a moment's notice.
I won't list all of my favorite movies, TV shows, and bands/musicians, but I will tell you this: My all-time favorite TV show is Gilmore Girls. My favorite movie is Fight Club. My favorite bands are Queen, The Beatles, U2, and Muse. I also rather enjoy Alanis Morissette.
I'm a fan of good humor. My favorite comedians are Demetri Martin and Eddie Izzard. I also love voice impersonations, and my boyfriend, Jeff's, crack me the hell up... especially when he does his Bill Cosby impersonation. My favorite voice actor is Wes Johnson. He is so good, very funny, and just a great guy with a heart of gold.
What else? I have five cats--Lorelai (named after the character on Gilmore Girls), Salinger (named after the author of my favorite book, "The Catcher in the Rye"), Boots (named by a 4-year-old), Bazinga (because of Sheldon's catch phrase on The Big Bang Theory), and Vader (because of Darth Vader... not the wrestler).
And lastly, a few more tidbits: I'm a textbook Virgo. I'm a proud member of the Spelling, Grammar, and Punctuation Police. I don't like lies or liars. I make it a point not to lie, because lies always have a way of catching up to you. I'm damn honest, to a fault. I almost always say the truthful, even blunt thing, even if it's not easy or popular. I try hard not to be hypocritical, to the point of losing friends, if I have to. I hate racism. I hate homophobia. I hate sexism. I hate religious bullying. I like nice guys, but I don't like "nice guys." Selishness and using people, is fucked up, and I've seen far too much of it in my life. I'm an ex-smoker. I love to drink, but don't do it all the time. I can drink most of my guy friends under the table. I'll try almost anything once.
That's me, basically. Love it or leave it.

Too Funny, Michelle! I always say "I'm in a band called The Sump Pumps. We suck." but I had completely NOT gotten the subtlety of singing backup! Thanks for pointing it out! My DH thinks it's a scream!
