Hello, Everyone! My name is Crystal. I'm just a lady with a love for all things DIY! I have an awesome hubby and a sweet fluffy dog that is pretty darn spoiled. I tend to consider myself a bit of a nerd. I love playing D&D, board games, and also learning new things. I research constantly. I spend most of my time doing DIY remodeling of my tiny little house. I am not afraid of a little hard work but I love to put my feet up and melt into a good book as well. Craftiness is not optional for me, I just love it. I know how important it is to appreciate the small things.
I have a love for reading. Not so much for choosing favorite so instead I can tell you about the types of books that I enjoy. I occasionally read classics but don't force myself to fake like them. Not every book is my taste. I love reading contemporary dramas add in a bit of twisty thrill and you've really got me hooked. Mary Kubica does a good job at that. I like Mysteries a la Agatha Christie. Half of the books I read for my book club I end up loving! I read my first Kristin Hannah book just the other month and it was great. I love fantasy books. I enjoy sci-fi when the science explanations don't get too boring. Starfall by Melissa Landers is a fun book for my taste of a quick sci-fi read. Very reminiscent of the Firefly show. The Martian and Ready Player One are also sci-fi books that I love. I even enjoy a fluffy romance every now and then. Urban paranormal books are probably my jam at the moment. I also love love love cookbook and I don't discount non-fictions because I love to learn.
Some of my favorite TV shows are:
Grey's Anatomy, Bones, Project Runway, Rizoli and Isles, Warehouse 13, and I deeply miss Firefly!
I tend to find appreciation for most things, though somethings really do make me smile a little quicker!

I understand why most greeting card swaps have rules against sending birthday or thank you cards but as long as it is a high quality or a beautifully well made card, I definitely do not mind getting those types of cards (blank). Same with scripture postcards. Even if the swap is not specifically for that type of card or postcard (as long as it isn't a completely different unrelated theme) I would still give a 5 rating.
I have NO allergies though I am a vegetarian so snacks or candy with gelatin or animal products (except for dairy, eggs, honey) aren't wanted but if I do receive them I can just pass them to my hubby so I wouldn't be offended either.
dragonflies
kiddie stickers (unless they are nice disney ones)
feathers, real birds freak me out
I love love tea! I am open to try anything though there are few kinds that I enjoy the most! I have come to realize that I am very keen on any teas with hibiscus! Yumm yumm. I like white teas, black, and green. Earl grey is another of my favorites. I enjoy fruity teas. I do not like tea with vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, etc
I've been learning about herbalism and love trying new herbal tea remedies, single herbs or blends are great.
Also loose leaf tea is my preference but of course tea in sachets are very convenient as well.
In September 2015 received a 3 rating due to a postmark date one day past the due date. It has caused me to check in with my postal worker and I was informed that since it is such a tiny post office (in a rural community) that mail wont receive a post mark until it reaches the larger post office a little under 2 hours away. They only send mail there Monday through Friday and it gets collected about 11 am. Since finding this out I will be much more careful about getting my swaps out early so they do not sit at the post office without a post mark but if you notice that the date on the postmark is different then the one on my swap card that is the reason :)

Hello Crystal! Thank you SO much for the memo sheet pad you chose from my etsy favs to send to me! I am in love with it and I plan to use it to write info on to include in swap-bot mail, I'll for sure put it to good use! Thanks again it was such a good surprise! I was a bit confused at first and wondering what I had ordered, but it made sense once I opened the package up and found the note obviously lol. Thanks again!! (CPG: March Wishlist)
