NOTE: I know from my postcrossing experience that mail can get lost on it's way. So, when you don't receive a swap from me, please contact me and I will resend!!!
I work in engineering and marketing for a small company and live in a beautiful town with many historical buildings. For over ten years my nickname is "Pocci", as my friends once stated I look like Pocahontas. In my free time I love to read, meet my friends, go to the movies and do something creative. I would love to learn sewing, but I never found the time to take a course and have no sewing machine to teach myself.
I'm addicted to drinking tea (I like it much better than coffee) and to postcrossing. I love to receive snail mail! I'm always happy to find something different from ads or bills in my mailbox.
I love to travel to other countries, but while studying I don't have much time to do so. But I got a whole list inside my head, where I want to go in the future. I also like to learn about other cultures and history of other countries. I also like to cook and bake. Besides my favorites, I always love to try new recipes.
I also like to learn new languages. So far I speak English and some Spanish (but that needs still a lot of practice), besides German, which is my mother tongue. I also want to learn Japanese and Turkish some day, but at the moment I'm too busy to teach myself.
Stephanie Plum novels, Twilight series, Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice, Jane Austen books, Harry Potter, Sea of Poppies, The Time travelers wife
I love to paint, it doesn't matter if I use felt-pens or paint on canvas. But I mostly paint, when I have enough time. I also like to draw little pictures.
I like working with beads, but it comes and goes. Sometimes I go crazy and do a lot of stuff and sometimes I don't look at them for month.
Early this year I started scrapbooking. I'm working on an album about my travels. As I always keep little memories like tickets, maps, coins etc. from my travels, scrapbooking is such a great way to have them all together.
Recently I discovered mail art. I got hooked instantly! I love to send snail mail and it's so much fun to spend some time and make it into something personal. But I prefer mail art on letters to mail art on postcards.
ER, Modern Family, How I met your Mother, Criminal Minds, Glee, The O.C., Big Bang Theory, Cold Case, Crossing Jordan
X-Men movies, Pirates of the Carribbean, Remember the Titans, Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves, Pride and Prejudice, The Color Purple, Walk the Line, Once, 10 Things I hate about you, From Hell, Sleepy Hollow, Alice in Wonderland, Dirty Dancing
I especially like green, red and black, but there are also shades of torquise and medium blue I think look amazing. In general I prefer bright colors to pastel and neon.
When it comes to patterns I love stars, dots, teardrops and floral patterns.
What definetly would make my day:
