hi,
my name is Judith and i currently live in Spain. I moved here almost 5 years ago from California, my home. I am married and have a son who just turned 1 year-old. I teach english at an elementary school in the city i live in. I love to read, craft making (my destressor), owls, traveling and drinking a nice cup of joe in peace and tranquility. With a 1 year-old son i havent really had much time for any of the above but decided to sleep less to help keep my sanity, lol.
My favorite colors are brown, green and black. I love owls because of what they represent in literature, wisdom. I like alternative music, 80's, 50's as well.
I miss California and hope to be moving back home summer 2014. Almost my entire family lives there and when you have a child family support and help is important, not to mention sharing everyday life experiences with the new baby. In the mean time i try to keep myself occupied to not think of home as much.
Some of my favorite books are:
Black Boy by Richard Wright (my all time favorite) Si tu me dices ven, voy, pero dime ven by Albert Espinosa Bless me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya First Confessions by Montserrat Fontes Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi Millenium Trilogy by Steig Larsson
My list can go on an on...but this is just to give you an idea.
Im pretty simple...at one point i was into scrapbooking but since i moved scrapbooking materials are hard to come by or extremely expensive to purchase online so that has been put off in the back burner for now. I recently started a sewing class and am extremely excited. We have finished some of the basics and am currently working on creating a stuff toy for my son. See how that goes. I also like making my own cards to friends and sending them off hoping to brighten their day a little, ive made bookmarks with my students, crafts with foam are a new thing for me. I like purchasing statitonery as well, even though it isnt a craft, it takes time to find and collect, lol.
