I love to sew and am new to quilting. I am mum to a 4.5 year old daughter and an-almost 3 year old son. When I'm not wrangling children or working, you can find me looking after my chickens or curled up with my cat in my lap. After all that, I get time to sew. I've not been too successful with my Farmer's Wife QAL blocks! Life just gets in the way sometimes.
I can't eat gluten, so if you decide to include food, please choose something gluten-free :)
I will be very grateful if my parcel does not arrive between 1 January and 10 January as I won't be able to collect my mail, so please don't feel the need to be early!
With regards to Angie's comprehensive questions:
• Which is your favourite Farmer’s Wife block so far.
As noted above, I've only managed the first three! I'll be thrilled with anything you sew.
• What are your favourite colours.
I do like fresh, modern quilts - things like pinks, teals, with low volume whites or greys for backgrounds. Again though, I'll be thrilled!
• What are the colours you like least.
I'm not a fan of 'heavy'/traditional colours - deeps reds, mustards, etc.
• What are the fabrics you love.
I adore a lot of the Cotton + Steel, and Cloud 9 ranges, but I'm pretty easy to please. I love Japanese fabrics.
• What are the fabrics you like least.
Florals in traditional colour schemes. I'm not totally anti-floral prints though - I guess it depends how you use them.
• Do you have any allergies?
Yes, gluten. I also don't like scented things.
• A little about yourself. You don’t have to include a complete life’s story, just the key points that will give your swapper some ideas about swap inclusions or items to make.
I'm a part time working mother with too many chickens, a beautiful cat and a forgiving husband. I'm a country girl at heart having grown up in a rural area, but live in our country's capital...and have spent many years living in Beijing.
• What items you might like to receive (baring in mind it’s up to your swapper to decide what they’ll make to swap)
I will adore everything. I'm a knitter, so project bags and zip pouches never go astray.
• What non-sewing inclusions you might enjoy.
Sewing notions, chocolate ;)
